The currently used Mantoux technique requires a high amount of training and is difficult to standardize.
Injecting the needle too deep will lead to leakage to the subcutaneous layer (fat layer).
Injecting the needle too shallow will cause leakage to the outside of the skin.
Injecting the needle properly will form a characteristic skin welt.
The simulator is a better substitute for fruit, trotters or a real arm for practicing intradermal injections.
It is a better practice object for future doctors or nurses. It is widely used in teaching demonstrations in social training institutions, clinics, hospitals, medical schools, nursing and midwifery schools, and health schools.

Intradermal injections require alot of practice to get right and this arm provides a great way to practice. I believe it has slightly more tension than real skin but nevertheless, it is good to practice the angle and simulate the experience to be comfortable with intradermal injections.

Wow this practice arm is very true to life.. The arm itself is dense and hefty, which I think is great if someone wants to practice holding the arm up a little during an injection, or just remaining in a stable position without it rolling. Might want to keep this arm far away from blankets or anything with fibers because it attracts hair like crazy. Has plenty of application points. I'll update this review after a few practice sessions and see if I notice anything additional
