This filter is oversized for my application, but 6" vs 4" is a pretty big difference for HVAC--bigger is absolutely better if you can fit it.The carbon had been seriously effective so far, case construction exceeded my expectations, pre-filter fits perfectly. Only con I've seen so far is it will drop some carbon if shook upside down, but larger carbon granules will reduce the immediate effectiveness.It was cheaper than most other 4" filters, and I have a hard time believing they are a better value.

This thing makes ANY smell non existent....standing in my grow room, I can't even smell my plants.....crazy you could have a grow room in an apartment with this beast.and nobody would ever know

It's amazing at order control.It may need replaced more often depending on what your order is. But, it's not $90 either.It seems to last one flower cycle of about 3 months. This is a budget item that actually works.

This replacement filter does not eliminate the odor as the first one did that came with my ipower 6†inline fan kit. So I’m ordering a second one to put on the exhaust side and hope it does the trick. My hose is in good shape and the fan is still moving air as it did when it was new. I really have no explanation why this time it’s not up to par and I will review again after I add the second filter. Well after adding the second filter I have absolutely no odor in my house what so ever. Guess that was the trick needed

Not sure on the negative reviews on this filter but it’s serving its purpose. Knocks down the smell from the grow tent and wasn’t covered in carbon like some reviews claim

It last 3 to 4 years in a tent. Same one is $100.00 at my local grow shop.
