I bought the two-fer pack. Best value. I can run 4 of the 10 x 20 inch grow packs on one heat mat. Each 10 x 20 grow pack holds 3 x 6 starter posts. This is the way to go, to start slow to start heirloom tomatoes, the tasty Brandywine Red or Black, 2 weeks at 80 F actual soil temperature or fussy to germinate sugar sweet corn like the fussy but very tasty Ambrosia corn. I am starting Ambrosia corn beginning of March for hand planting starts in my community garden plot when the soil temperature is 60 F. This is pretty aggressive, and one could not do by sowing seed outside in soil at 60F. I will have corn 6 to weeks before anyone else. These tomatoes and Ambrosia corn require germination soil temperature of 80 F degrees. Since I am using near a sliding door window, the temperature probe under neath a mini pot in a slab pot holder, when I set a temperature of 80 degree in feedback control mode, but since I am using paper coffee cups to grow in, 4.5 inch tall, naturally the soil temp is cooler at the top, as I measure with a separate plant thermometer. So I dial up to a 96 F temperature setting as an offset with the controller to get a 80 F one inch from soil top temperature. All this offset is perfectly normal. Ambrosia really wants 80 F to sprout even at an 85% germination rate. Heat mats really well made, easy to set up, easy to control temperature. Would buy again, but won't need to since so well made. Easy to set the control settings. I think this will be a great gift for my gardening friends also.

Great mat for seedlings as well as getting a good rise for sourdough bread in cold winter months. Easy to use, sturdy and very useful.

using this under seedling plug trays with potting soil. what i discovered is the heat causes vermiculite to disassociate into separate flakes, completely eliminating its water holding ability, so it works with potting soil but not vermiculite. the warmth is enough to evaporate water from the soil, so a natural wet dry cycle is achieved. thats good to avoid damping off. it does promote growth and with led grow lights most seedlings grow at almost double the speed vs outdoors in spring. they have been working non stop for weeks no issues.

I have my amaryllis on this heat mat right now, and they love it!. My cat also likes it! I have bought 3. I haven't used it for seed-starting yet. Will give updates as I use them more.

Easy to use, easy to install stall, heat levels are amazing if used on a dimmer switch or a thermostat, readability is sufficient, they are accurate on a dimmer switch, built great, easy to store

TLDR: the heat mat is very weak / not effective in a New England basement, the temp regular broke after 2 months of use - no longer turns on.The seedling heat mat wasn’t able to keep desired temps in my basement. Ambient basement temps of 50-60* weren’t extreme, but the medium could not reach or hold above 70 - although different heat mats plugged into the thermostatic switch were able to do so.Unfortunately, the thermostatic switch burnt out and will no longer switch on after less than 60 days use. The one stat I’m giving is because the suction cup on the temperature probe actually worked great, as opposed to other temp regulators / probes I’ve used.

Es de buen tamaño y a un precio bastante reducido. Con ella podrás germinar tus plantulas de chile en espacio cerrado durante el invierno.Estoy muy contento con mi compra.

I bought 2 of these mats that are the perfect size for my rack. Having 2 of them was just right for planning out this year's garden. They work amazingly! I've had them running non stop since March 12th with no problems.I will point out that the cost has gone up since I bought them so maybe buy them before or after the season.
