My original reason for purchase was a different sound with a lighter touch. It's sturdy,, slip proof with the industry standard of looks. Performance was stellar taking the harder hits with perfection. Jazz or just a smoother sound(don't use for metal) these sticks fit the the bill. thanks.............Donnie P

I was looking for an alternative to the $25/pair Promark Hot Rods. I was a little unsure as these are so much less expensive but figured I'd try them out. Lose the little bands as they are totally useless. Then I found that the "sleeve" (not sure what it's called) slides up toward the front of the stick way too easily while I was playing. That's the only reason I didn't give these a 5-star rating. The issue was easily fixed with a little tape overlapping the sleeve. A handful of sessions with these guys and I'm really happy. 3 Pairs for the price of 1 pair of Hot Rods. They feel great and seem to be holding up well.

these are great so far. same weight and length as the pro-mark hot-rods but nearly 1/3 the price. they are bamboo, not birch as the pro-mark are. i have pro-mark chips here, so waiting to see how these hold up after a few sessions. super adjustable sleeving in different. will see how it holds also with the workout. definitely will use these along with the pro-mark. wanna get a new pair, but they want $25+ bucks a pair. tryin to find for less. keep rockin peeps! ;)p.s. update... ROCKIN STICKS!!! the sleeves will move on you. i bought some trusty j&j sports tape to tighten up the ends and keep the sleeves where needed. the tape is great! lots of tech uses. i.e. head muffling. thx! ;) blb420skY

Great set of sticks for the price. The black grip near the tip of the sticks slides upwards towards the tip the more you use them.

It looks robust enough, the bamboo seem sticks will likely last longer than maple or the material used in more expensive brands. On the other hand I find it heavy, lacks rebound.
