I got bright LED lights on the sealing and I cant see a thing when I'm TRYING to weld! NOW, I can see GREAT!!! Also, the "not getting fire on head" is a pretty good reason to get one as well! Quality is good, so far, and I like how they use car door style trim to attach it to the back of the helmet. My helmet has a lip across the back, but it is a (smaller than some) lip. I makes it harder to put on, but once I shoved it on there, it is never going to fall off. You might need to whip out your cutter (of your choosing) and cut off your helmets back lip to fit it. All in all, I REALLY like it! Could be less $!

This thing fits so tightly and secure that I'm shocked. I expected to need to push it back into place, at least, once per day. But it's secure. I've worn it for a week now without any sign of it loosening!Also, haven't had a single piece of molten metal bounce off my head or go down my neck.And, it completely blocks out background lights. No reflections on the inside of my hood! Love it!

Keeps BBs and sparks off your neck and hair, so you don't need a hat or such if you have this. It also really helps with glare outside, so you can see your arc and pool better.The product seems to be quality and attaches to my Harbor Freight welding helmet very securely.Totally worth the money!

The reviews I read said it's hard to get on but, once you do, it'll stay on. Well, that's true, but if your hood has an edge with a lip (like mine, pic 1) it's not going to fit. My loaner hood doesn't have the lip and I was able to get it in there. Any sort of a corner on the edge (pic 2) is going to be a challenge, but if you go slow and work it on it'll stay. So, I'll need to go find one for me, but anyone watching over my shoulder will have a hood with a hood (I like to call it a cape!).If there's a way to get it over the lip someone please tell me

I used this to block the light coming n from thereart of my helmet and it does that fine. The material is a bit stiff and takes a bit of patience to mount to the helmet, along with the help of your small flat screwdriver , butter knife of hard plastic piece. What I don't like about the stiff material is after removing the helmet and setting it down, then picking it up to place back on your head the material stays off to a side or is up a bit, so needs to be in the right place befroe you put it back on. Perhaps running this through the washing machine first may have fixed that; may try that when I am not welding for a bit.

Was a bit difficult to get it installed on my YES helmet, but a little lubricant helped. I guess I feel good about it not coming off. Helped keep light from coming in the back of my helmet and sparks. Good price.
