This is a well made steamer basket. The material is durable & easy to clean. This has rubber-like feet to avoid scratching cookware.UPDATE ——- The legs on this steamer basket melted after used 3 times. I didn’t see or read anything that stated what temperature to use this on.I wouldn’t buy again & I would not recommend anyone to buy this.

I ordered this because I wanted a basket with plastic feet that I could use in non-stick cookware without scratching it. It's great for that. But, it's kind of bulky and really doesn't fit in smaller pots. And then unfortunately, my husband accidentally left something steaming in a pot with the stove on "high" and came back to find it had melted (the water for the steam had NOT all burned out yet).Like I said, it was a good basket and it worked until we ruined it, but I'm not going to order another one at this time. I think I will try a different product that is less bulky and may be better to use in smaller pots for smaller steaming needs.

I had been using a standard metal steamer tray that came with a pot I had purchased a long time ago. It only had a small ring to try and grasp onto with a pot holder. It was always hit or miss getting my veggies from steamer to serving dish without losing veggies. I found this item online, read the reviews and bought it. What a great solution to my ongoing problem. This that is very sturdy, and so easy to grab onto and lift my food items out of the pot and into a serving dish without spilling a thing! I highly recommend this great product! 🥕 🥦 🥔

The silicone steamer basket is an improvement over the stainless ones in that I can use it in a teflon lined saucepan without worrying about scratching the teflon. It doesn't retain the heat so you can lift it out of pan without burning your fingers.

Apparently steam cooking eggs is the best way to remove the shells with no sticking, so I looked at egg steamers and came across this steamer basket, which cost less and has many more uses. As soon as it arrived, I washed it and tried it out. The eggs came out perfectly cooked and they practically slid out of the their shells - not a single dig on the surfaces. This is one item that lives up to its promises. I will try using it as a vegetable steamer, too. It should last a long time being made of food grade silicone and not stainless steel which can rust. 5 stars and highly recommended.

I really like this item because of its design. It's silicone, has feet that won't scratch my pots, and is the perfect size for just two people wanting steamed sides. Did a great job the first time I used it. But when I tried to lightly wash it afterward, one of the flaps popped off. No big deal, easy to see how to reattach. But when I get that one on, another one pops off, etc. And I go round & round with it! I can't seem to get ALL the flaps to stay attached and folded back into a ball the way it arrived. It does a great job but is very annoying so far.

Like most of you I grew up in a home that had a metal steamer. This is such an upgrade - bordering on exponential if I am being totally honest. Easier to clean, more durable and best part, you don't lose the little feet like you would with the old school metal steamer. Worth the $$

Me encanta, se adapta a varias medidas de olla y permite gran capacidad: en una cacerola de 23 cm diámetro y 20 de profundidad puedo cocer 2 chayotes medianos, una papa, 5 zanahorias grandes o medio kg de calabazas (todo troceado). Es muy resistente y funcional, llevo usándola más de un año y todo excelente.

Ich benutze den Dampfeinsatz ständig für Kohlgemüse (z.B. Blumenkohl). Ich kann nur raten, dass ihr bei der Anwendung aufpassen müsst, dass das Wasser im Topf nicht vollständig verdampft. Ich hatte vergessen, den Wecker zu stellen. Mein erster Dampfeinsatz hat es auf diese Weise leider erwischt: Die Füßchen sind verbrannt und verschmolzen. Diesen hier habe ich als Ersatz gekauft.

We steam a lot of dim sum & vegetables and have had bamboo and metal steamer baskets and sets over the years…but this is the best, it’s brilliant.
