I considered buying much more expensive arborist pruning saw but settled on this. My immediate task was to cut down a plum tree in my backyard which has grown to be about 18ft high and 10†diameter at its base. I used this pruning saw to cut down the whole tree over 3 weekends. I made about 40 cuts in total and had no problems. Cuts were relatively easy. The saw is still sharp enough to make nice cuts. The only thing I wished this thing has is the cover that would click or lock. For the price though, you can’t beat this. When this thing becomes too dull and makes cuts too difficult, I will likely buy another one.

Cuts through dead or alive branches with ease. Good feel and grip. Genuine Japan product.

The saw is 5/5 stars. The plastic clip on my sheath broke after ~ 20 hours of use.

First, I'm a bit of a connoiseur of pruning saws as I volunteer removing invasives at the local park on a weekly basis and am always looking for something that will make the work easier. I used to have a $70 silky folding saw that was very nice, but this is better. The scabbard is crucial since it is easy to lose a saw if you set it down in the park and you want to have it on you when you need it. I also have a 18 inch corona razor tooth which is decent but not as good as this one.

So easy to use, no stress on the wrists. This saw is really sharp, small trees and logs are a breeze. The carrying case fits on your belt and extracts with ease.

Great saw for the money. Feels better in my hand than the Silky. More ergonomic than others, my wrist and hand feel much better after using it.
