All rods are 2 pc designs to make travel easy and utilize contoured EVA handles and fighting butt for all day comfort. Split rear handles are used on the 6’ to 7’ all-purpose combos and full-length EVA handles on the 7’6” medium heavy & 8’ heavy action combos.
This incredibly smooth, 5.2:1 gear ratio, 9+1 ball bearing spinning reel has a graphite frame and rotor, an aluminum spool and handle and has a powerful triple disc drag. This long and easy casting reel teamed up with the Centron spinning rod are wonderful !

I bought 2 of these one for each of my Grandsons. They were delivered in better packaging than I was expecting. So anyhow they got them last night ( Christmas Eve) and they opened them, both were in pristine shape. I fish bass tournaments and have some high end rods and reels and these are really decent for the money. The rods seem like they should hold up and the reels are super smooth. I actually wasn’t expecting this for the price. I’m hoping they hold up for the boys when they get a 20 pound catty on.

This Kast King Centron reel is great. Very smooth and feels like an expensive reel. Good value for the money. I bought the combo with the Centron 7'-6" medium-heavy rod. The rod is well made and looks it. I made the mistake of buying it medium-heavy. It is too stiff for the kind of bass fishing I do every day in our Florida lake. I'll keep it for use in the brackish water for snook or tarpon. Not the rods fault that I bought it too stiff. I need more flex in a rod for the kind of presentation I need to make to our native bred, non-stocked bass. Same for setting the hook without jerking it away from the fish.

It was a little intimidating to purchase a rod/reel combo that would require us to spool the line ourselves. We did our research for line to use and watched some videos online to learn how to do it. All worked out perfectly. This casts beautifully! The weight of the combo is perfect. We use this to catch lake trout and haven't had any issues.

This baitcaster reel is very nice. It's smooth & has various settings that are easy to adjust.It looks great too! A black reel with deep blue features & accents. Although I haven't used it yet at the lake, l'm definitely looking forward to it.The rod is a two piece setup. It has a medium flex & has several nice added features. The rod & reel compliment each other well.The only problem I have with it, is I received a reel that has the crank/take up on the wrong side of what I need. The one I received is for right hand cast, left hand retrieve. I need the opposite set up.I'm planning to most likely give the reel I have to a family member or friend, & order the same model reel with an opposite set up.Recommend.Just a reminder, this reel DOES NOT come with fishing line. It does recommend a braided line.

I purchased this combo as a gift for my bass-fishing son. He asked for this pole for is 23rd Birthday. Wanted me to return it because it turned out to be expensive. I thought he deserved a nice combo. I read multiple reviews saying the tip snapped, did i listen? No, I purchased it anyway! He loved the combo the first trip, the second trip, not so much, tip broke off about 12ish inches down! I contacted kastking, sent photos, video, and copy of my invoice. Their warranty is is as follows, customer sends back pole and pays for postage, then customer has to pay 20.00 for shipping and handling back. That's only if they find it's a manufacturer issue. If they find it's your fault... they will only charge you half the cost of rod, 20.00 plus shipping and handling, plus the money you spent to send it back to them. So say it cost you total $40.00 for shipping both ways, half the cost of rod that's $35.00, total is 75.00!!! Amazon sells this for 70.00! That is some warranty! Customer service sent me a link to purchase new tip for 25.00! That's a no brainier, but is the new replacement tip just as defective as the old tip!!!! I'm thinking there is a reason for the negative reviews, please don't be out 70.00 like I am. I have sent multiple emails to customer service, with no solution but me having to pay a lot of money out of pocket !😣

I loaded the reel with 14 lb mono for first half of the spool and finished with 150 yds of 15lb KastKing braided line. Tested the rod at a local golf pond this morning. Bass were biting so the rod was well tested, 5 casts and 4 Bass, the largest 3 lb 13 oz. The KastKing rod/reel combo handled the fish quite well. The rod has great sensitivity and I was able to detect the bite easily, which made hooking up easy. A very comfortable rod in the hand, lightweight and easy to cast. Very pleased with the rod and love the sensitivity of it, definitely an improvement to my fishing arsenal. The keeper on the lower handle is great for keeping the drop shot weight in place during transport. Highly recommend it.
