These stainless steel line scissors have serrated blades that are able to cut braided line.I mostly use braided lines because it doesn't stretch and is able to detect smallest bites. The downside of braided line are wind knots and its very strong that you need scissors to cut them. Mono or Fluorocarbon fishing lines you can probably get away with regular nail clippers, scissors or even your pocket knife. However, braided lines need serrated blades to cut.Usually, I carry miniature scissors. However, they get rusty, from time to time they will open up and snag my pocket or my leg when I'm walking. They are perfectly designed for a lanyard. Very light to hang them around your neck if you are constantly changing jigs, flies, spinners, fishing lures... this is what you need. I really like kastking products to begin with but this small pair of line cutters are great for strapping to your side to have easy access to while fishing. They are super sharp and cut through 60lb braid like it is 10lb mono. I highly recommend these if you are looking for a budget friendly pair of line cutters

I recently switched to using braided line. I discovered my knife was not enough to handle cutting of the line. I went with a pair of scissors, same result.After looking at an endless selection, I decided to purchase these scissors. These scissors handle braided line (and other line) without any problems.The scissors are a little awkward, so it might take a couple of times to get used to them. But it is very, very minor compared to the functionality.

These were AMAZING at first. But then they dulled a few weeks after we bought them. We loved how compact and easy it was to carry around and fit in our tackle box, but it started to fray the line and take a few times to actually cut.

I've been using the cutters for a couple weeks now. No issue with the cutting. I have cut braid and fluorocarbon and had no issues. The only thing I have ran into is the spring opening doesn't always work well. Definitely better than the scissors I was using previously.

These scissors cut braided line with ease. They are comfortable in hand. They can flip around to the back of your fingers, while tying knows, etc. At this price, these line cutters are a steal!

I never leave home to go fishing without these. I bought them to cut braided line and spider wire. They are kind off an odd shape and the little lock that keeps them closed take a min to get use to, but I can't say a negative thing about the cutting quality of these. They work better than any knife or pair of scissors I own. They just work.

The first several fishing trips left me happy with the scissors. I was able to use them easily and found them to work better than my nippers. The issue was that the joint loosened. I do not recall banging them or treating them roughly. It is made of plastic. Now, when I attempt to cut thin leaders or tippets of 4x or 5x, the line will just collapse between the blades. At this time, they still will work for regular fishing line but only if it is thicker. I will keep using them for my 4 pound plus fishing line on spinning reels, but unfortunately they will not work for me when I fly fish. I had high hopes. I really liked the design and the locking feature.
