This chuck is great, much stronger than the one that comes with the drill. Getting it on was a bear for me. The hammer trick you might see on youtube didn't work at all, no matter how much I banged on the allen wrench. Here's how I did it.1. Open the chuck all the way, in the bottom there is a torx screw holding the chuck in. Use a soldering iron to heat the screw to loosen the thread lock that's on it. Once it's warmed up, #40 torx bit to unscrew. It's a reverse thread so you need to turn to the RIGHT to unscrew it.2. lock a large allen wrench into the chuck. secure the drill so it won't move (I used a vice). Using a large pipe on the end of the chuck, pull down (counter clockwise). You'll have to pull hard, it will feel like your breaking it. With enough leverage, the chuck will come loose. At this point unscrew the chuck and pop it off.3. Screw the Rohm chuck into place and then put the screw back in.

My Milwaukee Fuel hammer drill (2804-20) had a bad chuck wobble, as many of them do these days. Bizarre they'll make a high quality drill, then ruin it with a cheap Chinese chuck. Got a new chuck from Milwaukee on warranty, and it did the same thing. So, on the advice of a friend, I got this chuck and installed it. WOW! Everything I put in it rotates absolutely dead-center, with zero wobble. Beautiful.Just remember, the screw down inside the chuck is reverse threaded.

This chuck works great. As an industrial electrician, I drill through 1/8" stainless steel panels and 1/4" steel square stock daily. My Milwaukee drill is 2 years old and the chuck got really worn out. I decided to try this chuck on the recommendation of a coworker. My drill works better than new. No slippage at all!

Fits Ridgid R87012 Sub Compact Drill. Exact same dimensions as stock chuck. The spinning ring at the front of the chuck is a really nice feature.

It's alright for what you pay but as you know milwaukee chucks don't hold the bits. For some reason drill bits always get loose.Delivery was fast and everything was in orderNew update: it sucks. It's so frustrating that every still bit comes undone every single time I try to use it. Would no but again this product. It's a waste of time and money

I bought this chuck to replace the chuck on my Dewalt drill that was no longer working smoothly. It appears to be the exact same chuck that originally came on the drill and the Röhm website confirmed that this was indeed the correct chuck for my model number. What the website did NOT mention was that the newer Dewalt drills no longer have removable chucks. The drills were redesigned so that the chuck must be press fit onto the shaft before the drill is even assembled. Dewalt is basically attempting to force you into buying a new drill instead of simply replacing your chuck. It CAN be done but it is an ordeal and requires disassembly of the entire transmission in the drill and all of the complications of removing and replacing press fit parts. I was tempted to replace it just out of spite but then decided I could just live with the old chuck until I replace the drill with a different brand. As far as the chuck is concerned, it appears to be well made and identical to what you would find on any of the more expensive big name cordless drills. I would not hesitate to buy this chuck again if I could actually use it. Overall I would recommend this chuck but with the caveat that you should be sure you can actually replace your existing chuck first.I hope this helps!

Easy to install and definitely feels way better than the Jacob's it comes with. As for longevity, I'll report back once I know.
