I bought this adaptor for an old manual focus Vivitar Series 1 90mm Macro lens. This is a superb lens for film or digital and I wanted a lens adaptor which was economical but would work smoothly and retain as many functions of my Canon cameras as possible.I tried a Fotodiox adaptor but the fit was very rough and too snug on my Canon EOS 5D Mk1. And on my Canon EOS 650 35mm film camera it was too loose and would not let the meter read properly. All I got was an "EE" total error. So I took the FOTODIOX back for a refund at the camera store.I found this adaptor by K&F. I don't have any other lens adaptors from this company but heard good reviews. It's a little more than the FOTODIOX. But at only $5 US more it fit my budget. When it arrived I first put it on the EOS 5D body. Perfect fit! Snug and smooth. And more important it UNmounted just as smoothly. Fotodiox product was difficult to remove. But the K&F came off like a Canon lens should. Then I put the Vivitar Series 1 lens on the adaptor. Also perfect! Focused to infinity and perfectly at very close Macro distances as well. Av and Manual mode metered perfectly as well, measured against my Gossen Luna Pro handheld meter.I next mounted both on my 1987 Canon EOS 650 35mm film camera, which I've had since it was new. I still shoot a lot of film for its unique look. I was surprised that the K&F adaptor went on smoothly and retained Av metering-even in Spot mode on this first EOS camera ever made! I like this adaptor so much I'm tempted to replace many of my Fotodiox lens adaptors with their brand. In any case I know that any new lens adaptors I purchase will be made by K&F

I purchased this adapter to use a couple of Rokinon lenses for astrophotography on my newer Canon DSLR.The adapter goes on without effort. Removing can be tricky but at first but removes easily once you identify the release button (see photo). Press the button and rotate clockwise to remove from the lens. There are no instructions provided which would be nice as removal is not intuitive out of the box.The metal portion is glossy (smooth) which I appreciate. Many adapters have rough (mat) finishes that seem to be rough on the lens mounts.I would recommend!

I use this to adapt my Nikon 50mm 1.2 lens to my Canon 5D MK3 DSLR.Disclaimer: do all this at your own risk as you will probably void your ability to return the product or your warranty. Perhaps try deferent Adapter brand which I don't have the option at the time.NOTE1: Don't get tempted to start shaving metal out of your NIKON Lens mount, It may look like one of the mount bayonet is bent (and causing it not to fit) but you should not need to modify your LENS, specially when it mount just fine on a regular NIKON camera.NOTE2: Also don't cut the the extended long PIN from the NIKON mount (find 50mm 1.2 lens pic online to see what I mean), only do that as a last resort. the Camera may not release the shutter properly due to #2 below. Although It's possible that long pin interfere with the contacts but make sure that is the case or you modify the lens for no reason.First time I tried to mount it, it did not mount well, after some tinkering I need to do the following to make this K&F Adapter work:1. Shave of the outer diameter of the metal plate ring (on the NIKON Side of the adapter - you need to remove 6 screws and use either sand paper or a file to shave the outer diameter) so that the lens can properly mount to the adapter. When you have enough clearance your lenses should mount/dismount easily and the aperture should slide smoothly (similar to when the lens is not mounted).2. on 5D MK III there is a micro switch in the camera that should not be triggered if you are using manual lens (Looking at the camera lens opening it is on the left side under the prism). it will be pressed by one of the Adapter bayonet mount, so you need to shave the mount foot a bit so it won't press the switch (or don't mount the adapter all the way if you are fine with the adapter not locking completely). That is it, good luck!

I purchased another brand of this adapter and was very disappointed as the fit was loose and, while the adapter locked firmly to the camera body, the lens did not lock firmly to the adapter, resulting in a loose and sloppy fit. I then purchased this product. It is better finished, looks better and fits between the camera body and the lens as though it was OME. I am thrilled to be able to use my large collection of Olympus OM lenses with my Cannon OES Camera. I miss the auto focus but the Digital photos are excellent. I would purchase again but I only need one. Thanks for a great product at a great price.

Didn’t really work with the aperture or auto focus of my camera. It installed easily but it is mostly unusable. I’m really sad because I thought this was a great solution for me to not have to rebuy lenses with my camera.

I read that this is the better OM - EF adapter on Amazon and went with it. I've delt with many adapters and this one is probably the nicest looking and best built. I got this to put my Olympus 50mm f1.2 lens on my 5D Mark ii. It does it's job well and doesn't stick like some cheapy versions would. OM lenses have a rather odd release button though that makes it a little difficult to remove the adapter, but there's no way around that really. They included a mint colored lens band as well, with a 70-200 label on it. I threw it on my 17-40 and really, I admire the slight weirdness if it.

The adapter fit ok and seems to be of reasonable quality but the camera could not determine the f-stop and did not work in auto mode. The camera is new to me so I’m not yet familiar with the manual settings but it seemed very difficult to get a good picture.

I made the mistake of purchasing a cheaper M42 to EF lens adapter and of course the cheaper one wobbles like crazy if you're trying to mount it on an actual canon EF mount. The cheaper one works ONLY if you're mounting it on a third party EF mount. However, THIS ONE WORKS on EVERY EF mount. You definitely get what you pay for and it's definitely worth it.
