I’ve gone through two paddles with the plastic spatula edges. I got tired of replacing them and was so happy to see that they had this sturdy fellow. Works like a charm and washes up well. Worth the money!

This blade was purchased as a replacement for the painted aluminum one that came with our mixer. It is stainless & much heavier. The paint tends to chip off on the older aluminum blades. Buy this & you're one & done. Pricey but well worth it. Oh, & it works!

We upgraded from the enamel coated beater to this one and I am very happy that we did. While the enamel one eventually chips, this metal one does not and is high quality for using with the kitchen aid mixer. I use my KitchenAid a lot and this is extremely useful and durable. It fits my KitchenAid and is a great value because it will last forever. It is easy to install on the mixer and is a simple, clean metal design that is functional.

No brainer; title says enough.Quality: 5/5. Stainless. Tired of replacing old attachments that would flake toxic paint into food.Cost: 4/5. Definitely reasonable given the upgrade, but could probably be a few bucks less.Value: 5/5Overall: 5/5One of my favorite upgrades; should come standard though. Shame on Kitchenaid for selling standard attachment that flakes toxic paint into food.

I love this thing. I replaced the original that came with my mixer because it had chipped and I figured that I wouldn't have that issue with stainless and now I think every person should have one! It does a great job and it feels very sturdy.

Stainless Steel is the way to go - all of my original paddles that came with my Kitchenaids chipped and peeled, making them impossible to use - especially for my baking business. I can't take the chance (nor would I want to) of the paint/coating coming off in my batters and buttercreams! I won't use anything else and have bought several for both sizes of myself stand mixers - can't beat the price!

I bought this stainless steel flat beater to replace my enamel-coated flat beater, which had a cut in the enamel. This stainless steel paddle fit my elderly KitchenAid, has a nice heavy feel to it, and is working perfectly. Very satisfied with this purchase.

It was VERY disappointing to have the original AND the replacement blade that I bought chip and break off BITS of the plastic. So far this metal one is a beauty. I was not happy to have to buy another one. It’s a lot heavier. I only hope that does not affect the mechanism of the mixer. Used it twice already. Beautiful and washes so easily. If this one chips, there will be NO Kitchen Aid mixers in my home.

i have gone through two of the kitchen aid enamel coated flat beaters. i don't know why kitchen aid bothers with the enamel coating when it without fail comes off. no-one wants enamel shavings in their muffins. the stainless steel version is amazing. no more peeling! also, it is really solid and heavy, much heavier than the enamel coated beater. it works great. as well. i have been hand washing mine to avoid any tarnishing in the dishwasher - which shouldn't happen with stainless steel but some of the reviewers said it did so I am not taking any chances. Very happy with this product and very happy I will not have to replace it due to peeling.

This is an exact replacement for the original beater that chipped and lost paint. It comes in Kitchen Aid packaging.Well satisfied with this beater, should outlast the mixer.

This upgrade to the coated flat beater is amazing!! I wish I didn't wait SO long to source this upgrade to the one that comes with the mixer. It's sturdy and heavy and can be put through the dishwasher. What's not to love? It works perfectly with my Artisan 5 Quart Kitchenaid stand mixer. LOVE!!
