This salt box is a great addition to my kitchen and fits in nice with other acacia wood products.The wood does seem to be a bit dry (like when you've washed a cutting board). I'll use some mineral oil on it and am sure it will look amazing after wards...just needs some moisturizer. Otherwise, it's a very smooth and professional finish with no sharp edges. The wood grain is beautiful, inside and out.The lid is of high quality and extremely smooth to the touch. It's very heavy when compared to the wood. The color is very pleasant and also complements the counter tops well.Overall, it's very nice and will be used for kosher salt. It is a bit big, I think from how thick the walls are, but it's of little consequence. So much easier to get a pinch or more when using a salt box instead of a grinder. A must have for any chef of all capacities. Already had some compliments on it for people I've cooked for recently, and I've only had a couple days ðŸ˜

I was about to purchase a $60 "premier" brand name salt box when I saw this one for less than half the price. After reading the great reviews, I decided to take a chance and order it. SO happy with my decision!! First off, this salt box is a very nice size - so many other ones seemed too narrow and too shallow - definitely not ideal for a foodie/chef wanna be! This size is perfect - I use the adorable wooden spoon it came with when cooking, and a smaller spoon to place this on the table for individual use at dinner parties, etc. I get lots of compliments on it, as it looks gorgeous and much more expensive than it was!! The cover is marble white and modern looking, and the wood base is just SO beautiful - love that mine is two-tone, but I'm sure they're all different. The wood comes pretty dry but not an issue since I applied natural beeswax polish and buffed it, just like I do with all my other wood bowls and cheese trays. The first one I bought is for himalayan pink salt which we use everyday, and I am purchasing two more for kosher salt and maldon sea salt. They are so pretty I plan to place all three on display on my kitchen counter. Cannot recommend this product enough, and I will be gifting many of them this year for Christmas!!

I was slightly disappointed when I first opened this because the wood looked very dry. It has no finish on it, which is good since you'll be putting something you ingest in it. I rubbed a little olive oil on it and it looks nice now. I will need to oil it a few more times. I wish that the spoon that came with it would actually fit inside the bowl, but it doesn't. I already had some smaller wooden spoons, so I will use one of those.

UPDATE: Customer service was very quick to respond and offer to send me another pair which I’ve already received. One of the new bowls was a little small on the inside so the lid didn’t fit on it, but I was able to mix and match from the prior two I had and make a pair that worked. They seem to be hand made, which I kind of like and appreciate. Customer service was fantastic.Individually they are very nice, if you only need one I'd give it 4 stars easy, but I bought two and they have different shapes and heights and unfortunately don't really look like a pair. I've reached out the seller, hopefully they can fix.

This salt cellar keeps my Himalayan pink salt from clumping as it does in salt shakers, so I keep it on my kitchen counter and it is so convenient to measure the salt and add to recipes. I'm very pleased with the wood and marble look of it. It would make a great gift for any cook who hasn't discovered the convenience of salt cellars!

Arrived quickly. Very nice size salt pot which also came with a small wooden spoon. The pot is nice enough to leave out on a work surface & holds a large amount of salt. Really pleased with the quality.
