A big shout out to Joe Hofer with DW Drums for directly replacing the LP bongo head that I bought (foolishly) through Amazon. DW totally stepped up, big time, when Amazon stonewalled me. I have owned & cherished all my LP products since the mid 70's.So 5 stars for DW,4 stars for LP andbig zero for you-know-who.,

I bought this item twice. The sound is great. The first one popped after 6 months, but I was lazy and didn't loosen the lugs between uses - that's on me. The second one popped after about a year of weekly use and loosening the lugs after each use - that's on the design flaw. IMO, it should last more than a year. I have switched over to another brand that has much better longevity.
