This item is ready to use. This false bottom fits your all grain equipment to prevent grain from escaping. This false bottom allows outflow of liquid beneath the dome for a superior, clean transfer.

The price is much lower than any other fully built 12" false bottom I found. The materials are all high quality. The only hiccup, albeit minor, is that the valve handle hits the side of the cooler before coming to a stop, it still stops all flow though. I am simply ordering a second 1/2" lock nut to push the handle out a bit further. Works well on my Igloo 10 gallon cooler! I can't wait to brew with it.

High quality parts. All stainless steel. Price is great. Worked perfect to convert my 10 gallon Home Depot water cooler into a mash tun. The only thing I needed to buy was some pipe tape to put on the nipple threads where they connect to the ball valve (outside of the cooler wall). I had a small leak without the pipe tape but now it seals up perfect.

It's important to put the nut in a specific direction so it clamps the rubber tighter.I was curious about the purpose of the overhang and it's critical to put it in the correct direction.Maybe mention this in the instructions, clearly.Thanks

This came ahead of schedule and I was very pleased with the quality of the parts. I’m using this on an igloo ten gallon vessel. No leaks on my test. My first run using this for an all grain wort proved very high gravity in my sparge. The wort was clean and I didn’t have the normal problems that I experience straining through a bazooka screen. I found going nice and slow on the Sparge allowed for the grain bed to settle properly I am gave me a good clean wash

Everything I received looks like high quality good stuff, but it's not what is pictured and it does not fit my 10gal Home Depot rubbermaid cooler. I've contacted Home Brew Stuff about it and I'll update this review if they make it right.EDIT: After contacting them, they informed me that they had updated the product they send you, but of course not the product that's listed. This is apparently not intended for use with coolers but instead for thinner pots. They sent me a longer thread to fit through the cooler but I still need some extra parts to make it work. So even though the pieces themselves seem fine, I'm pretty unimpressed by HomeBrew Stuff and won't be buying anything from them in the future.

Like the title says...I had to spend a large amount of time trying to rig the plumbing pieces.. for one, the nipple pipe is way too short but more unfortunately, the diameter is too small... Should have included a large washer for the front as well.
