Hitch sizes are measured using the inside measurement of the hitch receiver opening. The SHP2040-XL is made to fit most 2.5in hitches. Some newer hitches have thick outside walls so we also recommend confirming the outside width of the receiver hitch wall is less than 96mm to fully confirm fit.

I added it to my B&W hitch on my F250 and it works perfectly. Easy to install and since the hitch can be stowed under the truck I never have to take it off. No more rattle

I was previously using a regular hitch pin and separate hitch tightener to keep my motorcycle carrier from bouncing around. It was cumbersome using two things every time I wanted to use my carrier.With this locking pin I now only have one thing that does both. I chose the XL because other reviewers suggested the extra length would be needed to clear the wider receiver mount on my 2005 Tacoma but with everything in place I don’t think it was necessary.Either way, once installed and tightened this thing isn’t going anywhere. It works by pulling the hitch tight against the inside of the receiver. The side with the bolt head is the side that is arrested. I’m very impressed with how well it keeps the carrier from moving.

Loved the lock. It worked perfectly all summer. I put it on again the beginning of December. Today December 30th I was going to remove it, but that wasn't happening. The lock was seized solid. After many types of penetratong oils, still wouldn't budge. Ended up breaking off the key. Had to get out the Sawzall and cut the lock off the shaft. The dust cap over the lock trapped the moisture in the lock and caused the corrosion.I contacted Let's Go customer service about the problem. They responded swiftly, told me the lock was under warrenty. I sent them pictures of the lock and they sent me a new lock. That is outstanding customer service.

This anti-Rattle pin lock works great! The rattle on my truck completely went away after installing the device. A must-get item. Having the extra somewhat security on the pin itself is a plus too.

This appears to be a good product. If you get the rubber cover completely over the keyhole it will likely keep the water out. It is indeed a tight fit. I’ve only had it a few months so I can’t speak to rust.

It appears well built and the lock works really smooth. It does NOT match the threads for the Young Electric Mate-R bike rack threaded sleeve though.

Good hitch pin with stabilityHitch pins tend to impose wobble, and some are a bit more complex than they need to be. This hitch pin works by using a nut on a spring to go inside the hitch (2â€), which then allows the pin to tighten the hitch to your receiver. Add a lock and it’s a good simple option

Product arrived quickly and fully met all expectations. Used on a 2016 Ram 3500 with a class V hitch. Purpose was to snug up the factory reducer sleeve (2.5 inch hitch opening to 2 inch) and a motorcycle hitch carrier. Carrier no longer bounces and feels more secure. Only tip I have is to place the locking tube on prior to tightening the hitch pin. For whatever reason if I tighten the pin I cannot put the lock on.
