This is rather large but that is exactly what I was looking for (check the dimensions if you aren't sure). It was a bit difficult to install because I have a rock foundation, but the prongs work pretty well to ensure it is secure and stable. As others have said, it doesn't sit exactly straight, but that could be adjusted by simply bending the wires a bit.The glass measuring tube is pretty easy to read, although I am not sure it's 100% accurate as the lines of the gauge don't appear to start at the exact right spot. But it's close enough in my opinion. We recently installed sod and this has been very helpful in knowing how much rain we get each night so we know when to water ourselves and when not to water. It's pretty and functional!I love the night feature as it is very pretty and lasts all night long (we live in Florida, so we get plenty of sun). Overall, I am super happy that I purchased this. It looks great in my yard by the front door, and it is has been very helpful.

It does look beautiful at night. It was nearly impossible to get it out of the box. The Styrofoam fell into many different pieces. The bird is lovely. I plan to buy the flamingo. It is easy to assemble. It doesn’t want to go in the ground and sit sideways. I have other Solar items from Amazon. This is one of my favorites Iove it at night. 🤫😱 I wish the rain gauge would have been plastic. The glass broke. I am enjoying it more than ever because I moved it, it sits straighter, it is in the sun, getting more sunlight, and stays lit most of the night. It is amazing for the price.

This cute hummingbird rain gauge is bigger than I had expected. The decorative metal flower and bird are nicely painted. The rain gauge itself is a large, wide glass tube. The measurement markings on it appear to be enameled onto the tube, much like on Pyrex measuring cups. The stake part screwed together fairly easily. One of the pieces needed a little extra effort to get the threads lined up. But once tightly screwed together it made for a strong stand. The solar part of it did not come pre-charged so I will take a night photo later and add it to the review. Overall, it's a nice addition to my yard. It would make a nice gift, too.

I was a little skeptical that this would look cheap and not work. Wrong. The lights are bright even in days that have a lot of clouds and it doesn’t get recharged as well. The item itself feels and looks like quality material. I do bring the glass measuring dish in the house so it doesn’t break from freezing. Would love to get more for my yard, if it wouldn’t look so odd.
