We are enjoying this little machine. My daughter had received a smaller hobby set as a gift and of course it just frustrated us. She was discouraged and I assured her it was the quality of the product so I went in search and found this one. Night and day difference. It is taking some time to learn as a newbie but we are loving playing with it!

This woodburning kit is so fun to use, mostly I have used it just checking out all the different pieces it has to offer, and it does offer lots of pieces. I recommend when you get it that you just play with it for a while and see what everything is capable of. I grew up with using a kit that had three tips, this kit goes so far beyond that it's incredible.

Bought this for my gf and she loves it. Says it heats up fast and temp seems accurate but with the double setup maybe needs a double stand. Works great.

I had never tried wood burning before, but I recently bought some land and have been clearing trees and now have a lot of wood that I could potentially be putting artwork on, so I thought I might like to give wood burning a try. I haven't had time to use it much so far, but I have used one of the little test wood pieces it came with to burn out a test bigfoot.Everything seems to be pretty high quality and sturdy. The cord attachments screw on securely and I like that the end of the cord on the pens can freely rotate, so I can freely rotate the pen to use the tips at different angles. The temperature holds steady within about a 10 degree range. The pen did get warm, but not too hot to hold or anything after hours of constant use. The only thing that seemed a little sketchy was the first time I went to turn the pen off with the power button and switch to the other pen, I pushed the button in and the light went off like it was off, but then I looked back and it was on again. I think I just didn't push it in far enough for it to catch properly, because I didn't have any issues with it after that.I like that you can use 2 different pens at once with different tips and different temperatures, because honestly I feel like that's probably about all I would ever need. This kit comes with a whole bunch of different options for pen tips, so there is sure to be one good to suit your style or whatever kind of mark you want to make. I really don't think I need that many options, so for me, it's probably just going to be a matter of figuring out which ones I like best.I also really like that it comes with a tray to hold your hot pens when you need to set them down. I don't know, but I feel like that is something that you might not get with other wood burning kits since it's not really necessary, but it is really nice to have so I don't end up accidentally burning something else when putting the pen down. I've accidentally burned the carpet and my hair before when trying to set a heat gun down without a proper place to put it while it cools off, so it's really nice to know that I can put my hot pen on the holder with no worries.I don't have any experience with any other wood burning kits, but this seems to me like a great, professional kit with everything you need. I would recommend it.
