Tips and Cautions
Avoid applying excessive pressure on the pen tip, and let the tip's heat do its work.
Try different temperature settings with different pen tips on scrap wood, figuring out how to create your desired strokes.
How to control the intensitiy and thickness of the burn marks?
1. Adjust pyrography pen's temperature. (The higher, the darker, the lower, the lighter)
2. Slow down or speed up pyrography pen movement.
3. Try light-colored strokes before burning the same area repeatedly to darken the shade.

3D pens are super fun and having something like this wood burning tool to smooth, texture and reshape the plastic makes it possible to create some amazing sculptures. The temperature control is a must if you are going to use the burner on plastics. I like to work with PLA filament in my 3D pen, so the melting point is relatively low- meaning a regular wood burning tool will burn the holy hades out of your creations, leaving scorch marks everywhere while smoking and stinking like mad.i like the selection of tips that came with the burner as well. I’ve seen a few reviews on YouTube of people saying wood burning tools don’t smooth the filament well, but I disagree. They work beautifully. It’s all about using the right tip for the job and knowing how to use the tool well enough to make it do what you want. And I cannot stress enough the importance of that temperature control.

While I enjoyed using the tool, the handled gets very very hot. I had to stop and cool it down after about four minutes.

Puts me on my coordination. Great for a check points and more wooden craftsmanship in the indoor outdoor lifestyles. I keep it in my bedroom, whether it maybe on my closet, on top of a 2-tier shelf, on the bottom. Usually easy to look for unnoticed. It has wide range of design uses for a healthier hobby or a leisure activity to vacate the mind and body. It doesn’t take a very long time to heat, can use for other things to do on a weekend, or after work. Multi-taskable, but preferrably better with a clean organized room to your tasting at ease and positioning. Placement matters, if you’d like that idea. For myself, I like to look at my time and current state in life to reorganize the room around my current environment. Great with or without music. Sometimes I just like the amazon pictures that’s given and try to sketch my own pyro-craft just the same way as I’d purchase a new coaster. Definitely better without expectations but’s its very good to do anything there, very similar to a break room or if you have any trivial matters. Very softening to have something for your private days in self-care.

The tool would turn a different color and overheat after a time and the tools wouldn’t work as well as when you first turn it on. I was having to turn it off every 10 mins to cool down and reheat to make it work. I did eventually get the job done, but it took much longer than it needed to. That being said it was super cheap so you get what you pay for! Decent value for the money.

I got this tool to start crafting as in the description, it says it has 13 stencils. It does not come with 1. The video also posted to this link is very misleading. It does not come with any of that. There are so many other kits out there way better than this. Look into those instead.

Bought this tool to help with cutting burlap mesh for wreaths. Tool worked very well.
