It's a little small the brush itself. The teeth of the comb could be longer. I didn't read the measurements right in the picture but it's usable. It just takes a little longer to comb our dog. Sometimes his fur gets a little caught in the metal teeth but I've had other combs pull worse! Haha for a 4$ comb it's just what we needed. If I need to we can always upgrade to something more luxurious. We have a long metal comb with no handle so my hand would cramp up combing our dog. That's why this is nice, it's got a handle. It's a simple handle, hard plastic, not soft firm rubber. This does help detangle some soft knots in our dogs fur and gets some of his undercoat. It doesn't get quite everything, his fuzzy undercoat hairs but it works! Our dog is our first longed haired dog so I wanted to see what was out there so 4$ to try this comb isn't a bad price to test something out:) The dog in the picture is the one receiving the brushing and his hair isn't terribly thick or very long. If you had a wooly dog this brush wouldn't be for them. This brush couldn't handle it. But his hair is kind of like 2 or 3 inch long people hair and his undercoat isn't super thick.

This is the best grooming tool I have ever had. Much better than any brushes. I have two doodles. It gets all the way through the hair. Easy to hold. Perfect size. Appears well made. Price reasonable. I have recommended this to friends.

Received this comb today for my Ragdoll cat,and boy did it do a great job!!! Just in a few minutes of combing,I got this good sized amount of undercoat from him. This comb is great!!! Easy to use,and it didn't hurt my cat at all.

This is the initial comb I have purchased for deshedding and dematting purposes. It exhibits a robust construction, with rounded ends on the combination edges to ensure their safety. I am the proud owner of four long-haired cats, one of whom we recently rescued and possesses several small mats in his fur. He has been cooperative in allowing us to gradually dematt his fur, and fortunately, this comb has proven to be highly effective in accomplishing the task!

Does well on our part Maine Coon. Would be a 5 star if a few of the first tines had sharp cutting ability for the real nasty tangles. Very sturdy.

This comb is fantastic, and definitely works to remove hair that’s shedding. I’d originally purchased a brush (the one with a button that ejects the hair), but it came up relatively empty each time.This comb gets a decent amount of loose hair off the coat of my ragdoll x. She’s only four months old, so she thinks it’s a game whenever I’m combing her.
