Due to its extremely long needles, approximately 14 inches, Longleaf pine straw is the preferred choice of landscapers, developers, homeowners, and golf course superintendents. A fantastic natural ground cover for your property.

Go tired of begging pine needles from people (they always look at you funny when you ask) and raking them from the park. They would be full of trash, wrappers, bottle caps, etc and we had to pick through them before we could put them down. Found these for sale and decided to try them. Not only are they clean with no leaves or trash, but they are very long and attractive. The bundle we got covered much more area than we thought it would and it looks amazing. The best part is that pine needles not only last a long time, they don't wash away and add acid to the soil which most plants love. I'm ordering more.

This was by far the easiest way to spread pine straw!! I am allergic so I hate touching the stuff but I did all this in less than an hour. It had no dust or dirt in it and I can still breathe. I love the way it unrolls to give a nice clean line at the edge of the bed without having to use a rake or blower. I will definitely be buying this again. It’s well worth the extra money. The needles are over 12†long. Just so easy! We are getting our house ready to list, so this creates huge curb appeal.

while there are many pine trees around me, it is impossible to buy pine needle covering locally. this roll of pine needles is perfect. a LOT of pine needles in a roll that's so easy to "unfurl". i love the look vs bark chip mulch & i've already gotten numerous "wows" from neighbors.

Pine straw is great for mulch, ground cover etc. Natural appearance, no color added, won't wash away in rain and makes a pleasant surface around cabin in the woods for people and dogs, no more tracking in debris, mud, dirt etc. Lasts 2+ years, cannot find this in my local area so I'm thrilled to be able to order it and have it delivered right to my door.

I originally ordered 2 of these round bales along with a seperate order from Ace called Cleanstraw, which is a compressed bale of long leaf pine needles, I ordered 3 of those. I wanted to do a comparison between the two and there were a few differences. The round bales were very clean as opposed to the Cleanstraw product which had a lot of small branches and pine cones in the mix. The round bales were 98% pine needles, the Cleanstraw was 90% needles. I felt that the coverage from the compressed bales was better as long as you really separate and fluff it up and apart. I ordered a third round bale and was very disappointed in the coverage of that particular bale. I don't know how they determine the bale size of their product, but there was a stark difference between the first 2 and the last one. I can get 3 compressed bales from Ace for the price of one of these round bales. To finish my project, I ended up getting 3 more Cleanstraw bales, I feel the amount in each bale is very consistent compared to this product. These round bales of good quality, packaged very well, and arrived earlier than expected. I do believe that there is a lot of variance in the amount per bale, which is problematic when you're trying to calculate coverage. I hope this was helpful to you in planning your project.

We needed to mulch an area between houses where our neighbors’ gutter often overflows. Short of filling the area with rock, we wanted to be able to mulch around our plantings. The pine straw stayed in place and the rolls were very easy to lay down. It’s stayed in place for a season so far.

I’ve tried sooooooo many different things to reduce muddy paws in the back yard, and this is the best solution I’ve found!Tack hay also works pretty well, but I like the look and cost of the pine straw. It’s soft on my dogs’ paws, looks good, and very effectively covers all their preferred trails in the backyard, REALLY reducing the amount of mud tracked into the house.Delivered quickly and easy to spread.

Nothing wrong with the pine straw, which came in a box. I was surprised at how little was received given the price. Went to a local nursery that had the same rolls for a quarter of the price. Wish I had price shopped first.
