These work very well for my planter pots. Easy to use and you can cut to adjust around plant base as needed with good scissors. It really works well to keep moisture in and weeds out. Pleased with purchased.

I used these over my pumpkin plants so I did not have to weed close to the plants. No danger of pulling the wrong "weed" when the plants were smaller. I would definitely use them again for that purpose.

As others have mentioned, these are pretty thin and will require anchoring for outdoor use or the wind may blow then away. For the price they are ok; easy to trim.

These coco coir rings were a good size to protect my newly planted shrubs close to the trunk of the plants. I did elongate the pre-cut slits at the center of the rings in order to fit around the base of the plants without being too tight. I covered each ring with bagged mulch to cover the rings. Good price for the 12.

This seems like a good idea to me, but.... didnt work so great for me. The product is very sturdy, maybe a little bit too sturdy. You will need to trim the center of the pad in order for it to fit around different size plant bases and this is not easy to do. I tried to cut it with some scissors, had to get a box cutter to finally cut through it. They are little smaller than I thought they would be. If you are going to use for outside in ground plants/small trees you will need to purchase landscape stakes or pins to secure them to the ground.

We have a large potted orange tree we move indoors for the winter. This mat material is very effective at helping to keep moisture in during the low humidity winter time period. Easy to work with. Trimmed it to size with a box cutter.

I just planted some basil in a pot on our patio and squirrels have been loving the fresh loose soil in the pot for burying their snacks.Because the basil is a multi-stalked herb, I needed to make the center hole a bit larger and also lengthen the cuts in the center ring to allow it to fit around the multiple stems. It's been a couple of weeks now, and even though we still see the squirrels running around the garden, they haven't done any digging in the pot.Taking note of reviews and suggestions that mention it's best not to water on top of it because it absorbs water and doesn't let it all through, I just lift the corner of it and water under it directly onto the soil. This came in a pack of 3 and I only needed 1, so I gave the other 2 to our neighbor who mentioned that the squirrels were digging around something he recently planted in his garden. He used it directly around the new plant in his flower bed and said that although the squirrels still dig around it, at least they avoid the area around the base of the new plant.Very happy.

Only needed TWO, but this 10-pack was the closest I could find. The 9-inch diameter suits my purpose just fine!

My cat used to dig up the dirt from my plants but not anymore with these. I tried the aluminum foil method but this is way better!
