- Borosilicate 3.3 glass has low coefficients of thermal expansion, thermal shock resistance, and high chemical resistance in corrosive environments.

I will give this 4 stars for being surprising heavy duty (thick) - especially for a $20 2L beaker.However, the bottom has a serious bubble which limits contact with flat surfaces. The beaker at least sits level (which is not a given, sadly), but this means it's not suitable for use with a hot plate.

I love my beaker set, I use it almost daily making products for my small cosmetic business. I have 2 of these sets and the sizes are great for making different products. I highly recommend if you are working on anything you need to heat to mix then cool quickly, much faster than a pyrex. The quality is very good, these are glass so you do need to be careful with them.

These were packaged very carefully and work perfectly for my DIY lotions and other body products. I might get another set so I can have extras of the two sizes I use most and then be able to make more than one product at a time. I’m pretty rough on them, but I haven’t had any issues with chipping or cracking. The smallest one is a perfect little shot glass.
