Works great for small jobs. I like how it locks on the grease fitting and keeps most of the grease where it belongs instead of squirting out around the fitting. I've had a fair amount of trouble with two problems:(1) Getting the grease cartridge out when empty. After pulling the plunger handle back and removing head of the grease gun, I have to use a pair of pliers to grasp the small, greasy ring on the empty cartridge to pull it out. This isn't at all a knock against this grease gun, just a result of the use of cartridges.(2) Getting the air lock out after replacing the grease cartridge. Unfortunately, this is a common problem to most grease guns.Overall, this is a well made small grease gun. The downside is the small amount of grease in these cartridges (about 3 or 3-1/2 ounces) so it doesn't go far and you must go through the somewhat aggravating process of replacing cartridges often. If you use a fair amount of grease and can use and store a larger grease gun then I would recommend that. But for a small grease gun this one is well made.

I don't grease stuff too often but when I do....I'd like it to not be a friggin mess!I went down a rabbit hole of looking at about 10 different grease guns. $9 ones and $40 ones. This is a fairly cheap grease gun and every other review for other branded grease guns talks about how grease is oozing out of every possible fitting and how it broke the first time they used it. I don't want that. I took a shot on this one, put PTFE tape on everything threaded.0 leaks. Nothing. No oozing in storage like my last one, (and bonus points for the tube threads being deep cut, my old one started to slip.)I am 100% satisfied.

A very nice grease gun. Except... people that did the packing for this product planned it Perfectly to destroy-by-pinch each and Every hose sent with the kit. If you buy this gun, go ahead and buy the replacement hose that you will need. Please, Please packing people! Get your act together!

After reading the reviews for the Plews & Edelmann LubriMatic 30-800, I was hesitant to order one but it's a PRIME product with free return. Reviewers have issues with being unassembled, if you're using a grease gun on machinery, assembling it should be in your skill set. Loading grease takes awhile, I started to doubt it would but, just kept pulling trigger it'll get there. Broken hose, should of RETURNED it mine WAS bent but NOT leaking. Zerk fitting release, pull it off straight and it won't break them, you will need a pair of plyers. It is a TIGHT coupling and you'll need them but comes off easily with a good grip and straight pull. You want it tight so after years of use it will still, hold tight. I expect to get years of use from this gun and you should too.

This is an inexpensive, poorly made mini grease gun. It is difficult to assemble (the threads are very tight and are hard to start). There is a plug in the top so that you can install the extension pipe straight out of the top of the gun, but the nut is impossible to unscrew from the gun (this opening would have been a nice way to let air out of the gun when loading it). Finally, the hose is bent to a point where it can't be straightened and is useless. Note that, if you call LubriMatics main number, no one answers. And if you call their support number, you get an answering service and no one calls you back.

A lot of people are upset about the cheapie hose that comes with it and are overlooking the quality of the grease gun, it's a solid little unitYou can upgrade the hose down the road, and hoses dont last forever so I dont care..It burps well and doesn't fight you to get it going after a refill, "Holds just enough to lube my go kart steering"I'm refilling the original cartridges I bought for this from full sized tubes I already own, It's worth the savings.I read a lot of people are having a very hard time getting the coupler to disconnect after greasing a fitting,I replaced the 4 jaw coupler that came on the gun with a more traditional 3 jaw coupler, luckily I had a few extras,Gentleman dont forget to grease the auger gearbox on your snowblower!

Easy to use; functions well when pumping. However, my first job with the grease gun on my riding lawn mower ended up badly. The grease gun coupler would not come off of the fitting! Period! I broke the fitting trying to muscle the coupler off.Putthe coupler on the work bench and no tool in my shop could pry the fitting out of the coupler. One and done...I took the brand new coupler off of the grease gun and tossed it in the trash. I had an old coupler from another grease gun and was back in business and was able to finishing the job on the mower.

Arrived w packaging intact all parts present. Used teflon tabe 2 wraps on pipe threads before attaching pipe and hose. Put hose bend in boiled water to soften it up before breaking in the hose flexibility with small bends.Read instructions. In particular, backing off the barrel two or so turns before pushing handle in, to allow air evac on grease loading, worked well.Took 2 mi to set up, load the grease and prime it ready for work.

This gun looks/feels like quality, but it's anything but. I just got this and was using it for the first time. I put a new tube of grease in it and was greasing my riding lawn mower. The tube ran out (or so I thought) before I could finish doing the lawn mower. At first I thought I went through that tube pretty fast. So anyway I opened the gun up to insert a fresh tube into it. When I took the top off the gun I seen there was still nearly a half of a tube of grease in it. I wasn't happy but I removed the half emptied tube as I needed to finish this job. So I pulled the plunger at the bottom of the gun down as far as it would go and inserted a fresh tube of grease into it. Screwed the top back on and then TRIED to release the plunger. It would not move. The little release tab at the base of the gun was stuck or jammed but would not release the plunger. Finally I pushed both the tab and the plunger at the same time with a lot of force. Well the plunger went all the way into the gun......and took the little releasing tab into the gun with it. Needless to say I'm returning after I'm done greasing my lawnmower. But the dam thing still has a nearly full tube of my grease in it that I'm going to have to write off. This thing was just a headache all around.
