This violin blanket is what I was looking for. It is square in shape, not tapered to match the violin shape, but it does the job. It is not satin lined though the description says that it is. I don't care, but someone might, so I only gave it 4 stars. The price is right and it was shipped promptly.

Very nice design and quality for a synthetic fabric. This is a very dark blue/teal that blends well with black. I use it velour side down on a high gloss grand piano to rest my violin and protect both surfaces. It works well and looks very elegant. I would buy it again.

When we ordered, the description said purple. It now say burgundy. It's not even burgundy, it's red. The pattern side looks pink in green. Not what my son wanted at all. Too much hassle to return for a busy family. I'm sure it will be tucked in a drawer for me to find in 20 years.

The quality is excellent. It would receive higher stars if it were a little thinner to fit into a shaped violin case. As it is, we have to fold it and bend it around the instrument in order to get it to fit into the case. Other than that, it’s padded nicely, the Velvet Is a beautiful blue and the perfect crush.

Had misplaced blanket for Jakob Winter Oblong Violin case years ago. Great to have added protection again. Blanket fits just right and is a pretty close match to the burgundy of the case.

I've ordered and received a Patterned Blue one. It is smooth and has a nice texture from both sides.The color fits well my BAM OBLONG violin case with dark blue interior (which arrives without cover).The actual size of the blanket 23.5" x 8.5" and it is one inch shorter then my full size violin.

Love it. Keeps the face of my violin protected in case and is always there to set it on when I put it down as well.
