It’s a great buy, nut driver with 2 batteries and a charger so you can constantly use it. The carry case is great, I was able to fit my screwdriver bit case in there along with everything it comes with. Super quiet and has a lot of torque

Most my cordless tools are Black and Yellow, but that brand doesn't make compact tools like the M12's. I would say this impact will do 80% of what I need an impact for. It's small and light weight enough that I tend to always have it at my side while the larger impact is in the truck. Bonus is it produces far less noise.

This tool is a must-have I wish I'd bought sooner! Despite its 12 Volt battery, the M12 Fuel Surge impact driver packs incredible power, perfect for my home DIY projects and woodworking hobbies. I already own another major brand's impact driver (the blue one), but the Milwaukee M12 Surge is exceptional with its sturdy, comfortable grip, compact build, and notably quieter operation, thanks to its hydraulic mechanism. What's really impressive is the stable, consistent torque output at lower speeds. Highly recommended!

I have had the M12 Milwaukee tools for years. My wife got them for me as Christmas gifts. I had Dewalt so I didn't use these. Fast forward 10 yes and I pulled out the drill/driver set to assemble furniture. Onr battery would not charge the other is still going. The Dewalt gun are getting heavy on my wrist so got the m12 out. To my surprise it drove 5/16"-6" construction anchors all day long. My Ryobi droll was great but not up to the task. The Dewalt were heavy and tended to over drive and bury the screws. The Milwaukee M12 drove the screws quickly and stopped as soon as I released the trigger. I bought a second one to get another charger and batteries. Very pleased and impressed with this gun.

I am an industrial mechanic and have drilled and tapped thousands of holes, and of course broke my fair share of taps. I bought this set to be my lightweight set for when I have to pack my tools up multiple flights of stairs. I recently had to tap about (70) 1/4-20 into into 3/8 stainless steel, and had got about 20 holes and broke my second tap using my regular 20V Dewalt set. I figured I’d give the Milwaukee hydraulic drive a try, it tapped the hole very easily. Using the Dewalt impact I would have to make a 1/8th of a turn and back it out, re-lube and go back for another 1/8th of a turn….repeating until through. The Milwaukee went through 3 holes with no lube!! I think the key is the hydraulic drive doesn’t hit hard like others, but almost vibrates. This tool easily paid for itself in that one job. The battery life is okay but I didn’t purchase it for that purpose. I can’t speak for the longevity as I’ve only had it for a few weeks, but it feels like a well made tool.

This is my first impact driver, and I love it. I just use it for DIY projects, so it doesn't get heavy use. It has plenty of power for anything I do, and I like that it's quieter than mechanical drivers. My only complaint is that the forward/reverse button hits my hand when it's in reverse setting (I'm right handed). I would like it if they would switch to three lights.When I was experimenting with the driver, I tried the self-tapping screw mode that's supposed to stop automatically when the screw is in. It was stripping every screw I tried. If I used it for a wood screw, it would drive the head down into the wood. I discovered to my chagrin that the manual clearly says "The trigger must be pulled all the way or at least past half-way to activate automatic stopping. If it's pulled less than half-way, it operates as a normal impact driver." Surprise. I tried it again pulling the trigger all the way back, and it stopped the way it's supposed to.
