Hex head is a smaller size than the old one. This one is 14mm vs 16mm for the original.

I decided to order this because the other drain plug I got from a different Amazon seller started leaking oil badly. This one fits my Q7 perfectly, and there’s no more oil leak! Highly recommended. I installed the drain plug with the washer that came with it, and it works perfectly. The magnet is extremely strong, and it only took me a couple of seconds to install it. I’m excited to see what kind of metal debris it will pick up.

i have a high mileage car and i travel a lot of work. i wanted to replace the oil plug because it wasn’t good quality and it was being stripped everytime i replace the engine oil.found this product, was skeptical about the magnetic tip (for attracting metal pieces away from the mechanics) and also the copper washer, but it was extremely easy to install, the quality was great, and surprisingly i had no issues with copper washer, only backside is i will have to get more washers to replace over time depending on wear, but overall i’m very happy with this product and would recommend to any car owner.

Well made. The magnet is strong and adds supplemental protection by collecting any fine metal particles in the oil. All oil drain plugs should be magnetic.

Should of read the reviews before buying as I also has the same issue where the material just shaved off and had to buy an extractor set to try and get it out but was not able to, so I took it to a Honda dealership and we’ll see how much it’ll cost to remove that POS bolt.

For 10th Gen Civic Owners, If you have your vehicle added on your Amazon account, it will say this product does not fit your vehicle. Yet, it fits perfectly for my 2016 Honda Civic, had to replace my original bolt because the the bolt became unthreaded. This bolt is a 15mm, so moves a size down from the original oem bolt at 18mm. Magnet on it is very strong,
