I added a piece of hardware cloth (metal screen wire) to cover the open sides of my utility trailer to keep small items from falling out. I first tried drilling holes in the 1/8 inch steel channel but saw quickly that this would be very labor intensive and time consuming. These made it a breeze using my manual concrete/steel nail gun. I did not experience any duds. They all fired but some did not fully seat. That could have been me not being able to hold the gun tightly against the surface of the angle iron. But just the fact that they oenetrated at all is amazing. The few that didn't fully seat were easily hammered the rest of the way since they did go all the way through but not far enough to pull the washer flush with the steel
