Excellent Dog collar. This collar is great for walking dogs who like to pull. The collar is similar to a traditional "choke collar" but a much softer hold and a limit to the hold on the dogs throat. So this is a good way to train your dog to walk with a leash with a more comfortable tug when the dog starts to pull.One other feature is was looking for was a collar without a catch /latch. This collar is one piece and slips over the dogs head. Then you adjust. I have read so many stories of the catches failing, breaking, getting snagged, not being "clicked in" all the way and your dog loses its collar. Not with this style.I did order the wrong size first. the seller refunded me with return and immediately sent a replacement.

So, the harsh reality is things went awry in my life between the time that I ordered this and the time that it arrived. I lost Ozzy before he ever got the chance to wear it.It appears to be reasonably well made, and looks like it would be worth a try.

My baby (Rottie) is so difficult to buy things for because of his very large neckline. This collar worked out great for him, fit perfectly and it is kinder than the metal chain or prong trainer collars, but still lets him know who is boss if he begins to go his own way. The price was wonderful also, as it was not excessively expensive. And he likes his new collar.

Valued gift for rescues! Have purchased several to gift to groups saving dogs. Many prefer this style for scared dogs. Always buy when I can.

Yesterday I was at the local city park, sitting at a picnic table with a friend, enjoying our morning coffee and my dog was with me, on lease and using the Martingale collar. The squirrels are extremely friendly at this park because people feed them, and this one brave little squirrel came right up to my dog and my dog lunged at it. When he did the ring on the chain of the Martingale collar came apart directly where the weld was. The following is a direct quote from the advertisement for this collar and this should not have happened. “All martingale dog collar are hand crafted using traditional methods. Durable, quality hardware is used for these dog collars.Suitable for labrador,Rottweiler,husky,German Shorthaired Pointer,St. Bernard,Golden retriever,Tosa,doberman,so on.†I’m very fortunate that because my dog is well trained, he didn’t run out into the road and get it by a car. Pictures of the broken collar included in my review.On a positive note, the reflective collar matched my leash perfectly!
