Put this on an older stock 302 and has been running great straight out of the box last few months. This unit is bigger around than the stock, so you will need a low profile 90 deg fitting for your intake heater hose point to clear.

It's okay to start off with but it will stop working after a while and the vacuum advance never seems to work right.

Although the item is sold with “one year limited warranty†after 7 months of ownership, the item says “product support window has closed.†I was driving along at 35 mph and then my tach dropped to zero. The shaft snapped right at the roll pin that holds the gear on, leaving me stranded. The price was right and HEI is proven technology, the Achilles heal is the metallurgy of the country of manufacturer. With the cost of the tow truck ride home, could have bought an MSD.

This is distributor is exactly what our project '65 Mustang needed. Easy drop in installation, and the simple wiring really cleans it up under the hood. Fit and finish are immaculate. The build and material quality are far above what I've come to expect in today's world. Solid performance and looks great! Definitely great value for the money.

This product was NOT tested. Dead on arrival. Bad short in wiring after driving 80 miles. Cost more to find problem than purchase price!
