Note: 1999 CR-V with 376,666 milesEven comes with a comprehensive and well-written instruction sheet, and a check list for all possible issues! Excellent product and the best documentation I have seen in an automotive part. The component feels solid and identical to the factory part.I did do my homework, and went to a yard to do some practice, earlier in the day. There are plenty of Civics but not a single CR-V. That suffices. But you know what, eight out of 10 Civics had their distributors removed. I got lucky with the other two.Went home, removed the distributor, thoroughly cleaned the opening and screws and holes. Amazon reports that the part left the post office at 9:00 AM. But lo and behold, the delivery person didn't show up until 5.After a few trials, the distributor was carefully aligned with the notches. A perfect fit, such a beautiful thing and good feeling.Turned the key, the distributor seems to respond, but no ignition! A little disappointed. Kept on turning the key, finally it ignited, and the engine started!!!I think I was mislead by all the YouTubes showing the distribution and igniter responded with the first turn of the key. I suppose it takes a few cranking of the key to fill all the components with gas.The car runs so well. Before the replacement, the car ran very rough in 1st and 2nd gear. Totally lack of power going uphill. No more!So very pleased. 400,000 here we come.

After two months, the distributor failed an internal resistor! What a waste of money and can’t even return it

Easy install and fired right up, saved the day. Only thing I wished for was faster shipping, or the option to purchase expedited shipping! It was a great price so I can't complain too much.

Working great three weeks now on 22 year old vehicle that wouldn't start. Son ran car in 15f below weather and started right up. Much cheaper then part store and seems well put together. Will follow up if any issues, but two thumbs up so far! Good instructions but utube great on diagnosis abd how to do it for me. Two important steps: make sure rotor on old one is in same spot as new one. This requires removing the cap on old abd new. 2nd mark on old one were it is at with marker or scratch with a screwdriver. This is important for timing being the same. Some play were bolts tight in slots. And careful on old wire plug get fragile over the years.

My 2001 CRV was doing this scary thing where the engine would just lose power while I was driving it. Pretty scary on the LA freeway! Went into a shop and they said they think it miiiiiight be the distributor, but they weren't sure. They also quoted me 250 for the part and another 100 for the labor, geez. I watched a few YouTube videos, bought this, unclip one wire, unbolted 3 bolts, unplugged the wire, unclipped something, pulled the old one out, wiped away the residue in the hole, stuck the piece in, clipped, plugged, bolted, clipped and it was done. Super easy! Online videos did it in like 7 minutes, it took me 3 hours because I'm weak and things were stuck. Had to use a mallet to get the old distributor out. Overall, very happy. I've been driving around for over a month and no more engine failures! Yay!

Either the shaft or the rotor was out of wack but I just let it grind the cap grind down to fit

Didn't work from new. If you get lucky and get one that works to start with...it's not going to last. Do the simple tests and identify what part of the distributor isn't functioning and buy an OEM replacement part. These aftermarket dizzys are JUNK. Are you saving any money if you need to get towed and repeat this repair every few months? Was in a jamb so took the chance as a temporary fix...ended up making the repair a MUCH bigger mess and took even longer, cost more and caused even more headaches than simply waiting on the OEM parts to arrive. Don't make the same mistake I made. Some things you can get away with aftermarket parts. This is not one of those times

it had the wrong wiring harness so had to take parts from the new distributor and install in old one to make it work
