I’ve used Maxima for over 45 years trout and salmon fishing and it's never let me down . Great knot strength, reasonable price and still catches the fish. Yes it deteriorates in sunlight but mark the spool year when you buy it and replace it when you think it’s time. Yes braid casts further than monofilaments on a spinning rod but this stuff works . Yes I use braid for beach casting but I still go to this line when making up leaders

I make Euro Nymphing leaders from this material. Depending on the use case, start with 20/15/12 pound and work your way down to a tippet ring. Many formulas for Euro leaders on the Internet. Or, you can try the new ultra light Euro leader style with a 10 or 6 Lb 20-30 FT section with a multi colored strike indicator in 6 or 4 Lb. No fly line is needed but backing is!I also use this for spin casting leaders with clear floats. It never breaks and is very wear resistant.

I’ve used this fishing line for years and have always had great results. Great knot strength and durability. It is completely invisible to fish which is the greatest benefit!

Used this SPECIFIC fishing line for over 45 years, hard to see for the fish, tough, very limp & won't hold memory like other line.A+ MAXIMA CHAMELEON

This is excellent trout fishing line and I have also landed several nice bass with it. Trout have very good vision and many have eyed the bait only to swim away after seeing other lines but not this brown chameleon line. I have out fished others on several occasions and the only difference and advantage I had was this line. The only thing to note is for very very clear streams and trout parks it is a good idea to go down to the 2lb test. The is my go to line for ultra-light reels and lake Taneycomo in Missouri.

Not sure if I got old stock, or they changed the formula etc? ...this stuff retains spool memory so bad that it constantly cause birds nest tangles. I put it on three different reels, and all were a tangled mess. Stripping it all back off now. It was great in the early 90's...
