Great for storing Tenkara level lines. Also for dry-dropper rigs.

such a simple product, it's fantastic. made of durable ~1mm thick plastic (like a plastic file folder thickness), these things look pretty sturdy for what they are! i manually folded out the little tabs that hold the line (they keep their shape nicely when folded), so i could more easily wrap my level line + tippet around it. very easy to load on!i did kinda struggle with how to safely store the fly though, the nice thing about foam line holders is you can just seat the fly anywhere. i ended up stretching my tippet a little so i could get the fly locked into one of the holes, and thankfully it didn't come loose when i was hiking. but i am still worried the hook might snag something - i'll have to figure out a better solution to protect the hook. maybe a bit of masking tape would do the trick..i use these holders with my new tiny tenkara rod, and it easily holds my 6ft of level line + ~5ft of tippet. and i added a bit of twine so i could clip this to the outside of my hip pack. i like that it comes in a set of 6 holders, so i could carry a few other load outs if i want. not sure if this thing could hold a furled line, but it definitely works like a charm with level or tapered line.overall this is an amazing ultralight purchase!

Ok way to store leaders especially for limited storage space

These are more than sturdy enough for line storage, but are a little light to use for carrying a set up rod in the traditional manner (rod collapsed with line spooled, and spool snugged down on grip).

Made from a nice sturdy, but still lightweight plastic that looks like it will hold up well. I got about 30 yards of 20# flouro on one with room to spare, so you can carry more than enough spare leader for a few trips.

I carry several pre-made lines with me. 14', 12', 10, 9', 8',. I put one on each side of the disc and much lighter and more compact than the line wheels.

Tabs are too small even for shorter lines. Tabs are tight so that it kinks your line…bad. Returned.

I have various sizes and various lines stored on theses holders, ready to fish. I have them on a separate tippet holder that I keep on my neck lanyard (I am a minimalist fisherman) and they are great for my needs!
