I own a Jeep Wrangler, and I needed this to clear the spare tire so I could use my hauling rack that goes in the receiver. Before when I tried to use the rack, it would hit the spare before it was near going in. This is perfect for what I needed to clear the tire. The extender is very strong and can handle the same load as the hitch and fit and finish is very good. Overall this extender is perfect for what I needed.Thank youJoe Adam

I bought this so I wouldn't have to crawl on the ground to use my side-by-side hitch. I only tow small things, so I don't care if the rating is lower. Very nice!

Perfect length to extend beyond the spare tire on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JKU. Folding cargo hitch works great. Bit wobbly, but strap takes care of that issue.

I had to drill another hole to get my harbor freight tri-ball draw bar to fit. With an extension this short, compromises have to be made somewhere. The maximum a drawbar can extend past the pin is 2-1/2†and that might require some grinding. 2-7/16†would be sure to work. My harbor freight tri-ball goes about 3-1/4†deeper than the pin when using the 2-5/16 ball thus adding another hole. As far as tolerances and rattle, I consider it a pass/fail. They all rattle. If the pins line up and without a ton of play, I consider it a pass; this extension passes in my opinion. I’ll be using it to loader to move trailers around the yard so I don’t have any experience with how it behaves going down the road.
