I was using flat wire for an extension, but it would get wrapped up backing up and turning, pulling it down and then would drag. This solves that problem, it extends when needed, then coils up and doesn't drag. It works great and highly recommended.

I purchased two of these to have one for each vehicle. They have worked with both vehicles, the utility trailer, and the boat trailer. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I really have to work with them to fully get them attached to my harnesses. My dad has a similar product (what drove me to make this purchase) but his is not nearly as difficult to get attached.

coil keeps line from dragging, heavy duty plastics, no cracking. Great housing, red is easy to spot. Did need to shave a little on fitting end. Great product. My trailer has hookup in front w no excess lines. Coil works great.

I needed this to change from a 7-pin to a 4-pin. This is a sturdy adapter and works perfect. The only (very minor) concern I had was due to the length of the adapter, I had to tie up a portion of the trailer light harness so it wouldn't drag on the ground due to adding length. This is really a non-factor when purchasing, but I thought this would be good to bring up for others.

I like the coiled middle part as it gives a bit of play in the whole electrical cord. Fits perfect in the Ford 7pin and seems to be built really well. All in all a good buy.
