I left the rubber tips on. I have a 145 lb Mastiff and it works well. It’s really sturdy.

Got the collar on 02/04/25 and the clasp broke that Friday 02/07/25 while walking my dog. Really thought this was going to be durable enough and not break like the other collars I’ve used on him. He’s only an 8 month old giant schnauzer weighing 55 pounds but does pull excessively. Wanted to try a prong collar that would be easier to put on but still help with the pulling.

This thing is a beast! REALLY solidly build and really sturdy. Unfortunately, it is also really cumbersome to use since there is almost no "give" in it, and although it fits, it just does not move well at all and is clearly uncomfortable on my doggo.

Absolutely love this collar so far! My dog works veryyyy well with this type of choke collar, so I knew this collar would work well. However, let me emphasize that I specifically got this one bc of the reflection of the collar (my dog is black) and this helps keep him well lit paired with his reflective leash! The collar itself is crafted very, veryyyy well and has a lock! So double duty closure. The stitching is nice and there's silicon caps for my pup so it won't cut him at all, even by accident if he wants to chase a squirrel. Love this collar!
