The awning was nice and looks good. Blocks sun well but fabric will not be taut so there is pooling of water. It is good to treat it with some other water proofing, especially along the seams because sewing was good but could be better. Overall it looks nice and does the job. Had to contact customer service once and they were prompt and courteous. I had seen the bad reviews about the installation and directions. I must say they are right on. Installation is a little difficult and does take a couple of people. The installation manual is a whole different story. It appears to be written by a young child whose parent let them have a project on bring your child to work day. It is hard to follow, gets some steps out of order, and completely leaves out some really important information, such as, proper adjustments.

Only two minor problems. One of the pieces was dented, probably at the factory. And I put the front channel piece on backwards. I wish the instructions were more clear on that.

Instructions are vague, and quality is very low. Spend the money and move to a better one! Don't be cheap like me, I have better on the way.

This is a really good awning for the price. It is advertised as waterproof but when you get it the instructions mention "Do Not Use on Rain", which is kind of a yellow flag at least. Despite that, material is waterproof but sewing isn't so you'll have some drops on heavy rain. Also it doesn't stay completely flat so pools will form but nothing worrying. Instructions could be better, it can be assembled and installed by one person but two is ideal. Looks and feels sturdy enough, although I make sure it is completely retreated during high winds.

I like the awing its perfectThe arms twisted and bent the metal at the bend when I extended it out and had to purchase support bars
