This seal is 100% rubber, not plastic, so it conforms well to the space under the door. It is just the right thickness to give a stiffness so it doesn't feel flimsy, yet it can be easily handled for installation. The nails have a spiral along the shaft so they won't pull out as easily as smooth nails. The plastic "washers' have a large diameter that will keep the nails from tearing the seal. To cut the rubber seal to fit the door, a sharp pair of scissors works great. Installation can be done alone, but it goes more smoothly with two. Will know more in the winter if snow or ice will stick the seal to the cement, but the rubber's flexibility seems like it will keep that from happening. If this is not the case, I will update this post. The seal looks great on the door, making it look more finished, and we have already noticed it doesn't feel drafty in the garage anymore. We had a 1/8" gap below the door and this seal closes it perfectly. Our door is an "old fashioned" heavy manual lift type, and this seal also acts as a bumper to cushion the door when closing it, helping to protect the windowpanes. This seal is an excellent investment, will protect the door, and keep debris and animals out, and snow from blowing in. You will be pleased with this very high-quality garage door seal!

This M-D Building Products 03723 9 ft. Black Rubber Garage Door Bottom Seal was a good replacement for my worn out (as in torn up) garage door bottom seal. The seal itself is just a tad longer than 9 feet, so it is perfect for a 9 ft. door. The installation was easy, in particular, because it comes with the nails and plastic washers needed to attach the rubber strip to your garage door. One recommendation to the manufacturer would be to increase the nail/washer count by one so that the distance between nails is an easy 6 inches, and not some odd amount.

This garage door seal was easy to install and looked great. It must be very tasty, because mice ate through it, and the garage door behind it the first night, to get back inside. This is definitely not the fault of the seal! I just needed to put some good quality bait traps inside to ensure no more problems.

Works for me and my garage door which needed a new seal. Even comes with the proper nails with plastic disks. Amazingly it's the same design that my 45 year garage door had. came pronto and is identical. Super easy install.

PROS: The price is VERY cheap & is actually pretty wide (other reviews complained about this)CONS: IF you actually use this as your only weather strip for the bottom of your garage door it provides little to no depth, thus water, wind, dirt, bugs and critters will still get in. Unless your garage floor is extremely level and your garage door is closed with downward & sustained force (not likely) there will be gaps. The strip is made of a rubber "like" material that has an almost spongy feel to it. The supplied nails do NOT look like the picture, they include a black plastic type washer, because the nails along would rip through the rubber "like strip. NOTE that almost ALL garage door bottoms are metal these days - so the nail are useless.I bought this NOT as a replacement for my current weather strip, but in the hopes of using a little of it as a CHEAP patch. I have a two car garage with a single door. On both ends there is a couple inch gap where my weather strip is short. It has been that way since I bought the house from the previous owner.I live in Florida & the other day I heard my wife yell - a snake was in our garage! Snakes are ALL around in Florida, this like most was a harmless garter snake but still not something you want to see - even in a garage. So as a quick/cheap fix I bought this.I cut this to length of my gap & tried attaching it to the bottom of the door. There was already on screw in the area I needed to patch so I started with that. I quickly learned that I needed a washer because my first attempt ripped right through the strip. My next problem was that I had to drill a starter hole in the bottom of the metal door plate which is quite thick. My 18V battery operated drill (or maybe the little drill bit I had on the end of it) were NOT up to the task. After 5 plus minutes of drilling with considerable pressure I barely put a mark in the door. The next idea I had was to somehow glue the piece on the door bottom. I tried just about everything. Double sided heavy duty mounting tape, a whole tube of Crazy Glue and even Mighty Putty which you are suppose to be able to use on rubber. Absolutely NOTHING will stick to this rubber "like" strip. So I ended up just cutting 3 piece on each end to length, stacked them on top of each other, sate them on the floor where the gap was & closed the door. On Monday I will just call in a garage door company and have them replace the whole thing.I would have rated it lower except it is a good price & may work for a select FEW people.

The old stripping on my garage door was ripped, drooping, and breaking apart. I have an old-school wooden garage door, overall it works, once you get a few more years out of it. This new bottom stripping seal was easy to cut to size, And came with all them needed hardware to install.I unrolled it, and then recoiled it in the reverse direction and let it sit for a while so it would straighten out. I’ve been peeled off my old, stripping, and laid out the new one up against it, and cut the new one close, but left a little extra length on it to trim at the end. It’s better if you have two people to hold up the stripping as you nail it in, but it’s doable with one person. Once you Get the first nail in, partially nail in the other side, all the way at the end, just enough to hold it up. Then Nail it in all the way down.

pour une porte de garage basculante c'est parfait sauf les clous!!! Je me suis servi des rondelles plastiques que j'ai fixées avec de vis à tôle inox.

This garage rubber door seal replaced an identical M-d seal which lasted 20 years. It was delivered ahead of the expected date slot for which thanks to the UK franchise handling this. It is made in Oklahoma USA from resilient rubber. It is easily installed and affords a good seal at the bottom of my garage door.
