Don’t believe any of the lower starred review as these dishes are indeed 100% sterile. Poured agar in all 25 with no contamination issues at all. Not to mention it was my very first time ever doing any agar work. Anyone else saying otherwise definitely introduced whatever caused their contamination issues

These work perfect for Mycology work as agar plates. They are definitely sterile and I had no issues with any of them. Will continue buying because it's one of the best prices on Amazon per plate.

If you plan to automate cultures in a lab, and you need to test your platform, I don't know of any other acceptable slippable petri dishes to fit the bill imho.Although these are budget and lids slightly more "loose" than I'd like, in all fairness, these are fine for classroom, automation and general lab use as long as I follow steril procedures. Once I place agar in them and smear a test, I just seal the edge well. I've had little trouble doing it that way, and see these not giving me any more issues than expected either.Not sure if these will hold up to dry or wet stabilization techniques, but if you plan on using them all at once, these should prove adequate.My only caveat is that there will be others out there not needing all 25 to be used at once. Opening the package exposes these to contamination, so packaging them 5 at a time would have been nice.Worthy of consideration if you are on a budget.

I've tried both MED PRIDE's Slippable and Stackable Petri Dishes and found them to be ideal for mushroom culturing. They're crystal clear and all arrived intact. The 90mm size is perfect and I had no contamination issues after pouring agar in them. They're sterile single-use polystyrene plastic and shouldn't be used in a pressure cooker or autoclave, but they're also economical. I couldn't tell much difference between the Stackable and Slippable plates.

Unfortunately 4 of the 25 petri dishes arrived cracked. Seems as though it happened pre shipping, as the shipping box was in perfect condition. Not worth the hastle of returning and replacing, as I need them now. So, I will use the remaining 21 and take the loss. I likely won't order this product again, however.

Ivordered these multiple times and love the dishes, they are great but I wish amazon would package these correctly and not in paper bags. I always get a few that are shattered, luckily never pierced the plastic making them unsterile but come on Amazon. Do better

These are high quality petri dishes. Many times the larger size dishes like these will sag a little when hot auger is poured in. These did not distort at all and held their shape perfectly. The lids fit well and are very clear.
