As an actor I wear costumes all the time - these pants rock. I upgraded my Ren Fest gear this year, and I'm SO happy with these breeches. Distressed wash, so you actually LOOK like a buccaneer who's been working at sea, solid stitching, great fit, comfortable fabric. I wish more clothes were made like this.

Theses are good quality pants compared to some of the similar $15-20 options; they really look and feel like functional garments and are quite comfortable. If you don’t have the expendable income to spend $50 plus shipping on a pair of costume pants then go with one of the $20 options, if you do, then definitely make the upgrade to these. The only thing I don’t like about them (but which is very authentic) is having to tie the front flap around my back, I am a bigger guy at 6’1 230lb and would like it if the ties for the front flap were long enough to cross around my back and tie around in the front again. This would make things so much easier to get them on and off for bathroom use...There is no fly guys so you have to drop the whole front flap to urinate. Unless you tie the back flap over the front flap and then you can just drop that whole back flap and sit down to go #1 and #2; so I guess for the pirate gals out there this would be nothing new for you to deal with. I will probably modify my pair to make them a bit easier on and off for bathroom breaks, especially since most places I would be wearing them I’d likely be using public facilities.

I got these for a Halloween costume and I can say I'm extremely surprised with how well they fit and feel. They're surprisingly durable, yet have a pajama like weight to them. Highly recommend.

The quality is good but the fabric is like ruff cotton. like a potato sack just not quite as scratchy.

Ultimately I like them enough to keep. They aren't terribly flattering at the top but I tend to wear long tops or wide belts to hide that. A button fell off after the first day wearing them. And...IDK if it's just me, but for $90 I would usually expect some pockets. Comfy though, mostly well constructed.

Thai made pirate trousers. They fit by tying in a cool way. Good quality and comfortable. Would recommend.
