Ive used other more expensive 4" inline fans in the past for plant smells, but I bought this for a different purpose.... To remove soldering fumes.This fan is way better than the other 4" inline fans ive used, this has a very powerful high static pressure fan that really moves some air!Can control the fan speed with the dial/ potentiometer on the power cord.I opened the flange end to reverse the fan so that it sucked air in. Theres alot of loose carbon to clean up on initial setup but this thing works fantastic and has more power than more expensive fans. This fan/filter combo is also curently the cheapest option and works great so get it if your looking!

This came in a smaller box than a typical carbon filter, and in-fact, it is smaller than average. However this doesn't affect the performance. The fan is strong enough to create enough negative pressure in my tent when turned to 75% that it pulls the sides of the tent in. So I would say that cfm isn't an issue. As far as smell, I put it in there with some stinky plants in mid flower, and to my surprise, I can leave this running between 60-75% and it totally eradicates any smell outside of my tent. I was initially hesitant to buy after seeing some of the negative reviews, but decided that it's worth a $40 gamble. After having used this I tend to believe that some of their competitors may be had people spam bad reviews to drive sales their way. No, I can't prove it, and yes I may be incorrect, but I am 100% happy with my purchase and am thinking about buying another for my other tent.

Wow this little fan is absolutely amazing idk how great it's going to work for my the smell in my drying tent but it should be awesome the fan is so freaking strong I would say it's more than 210 cfm but it's very powerful and it's built really well ,10/10...I will try and do an update once I start using it for smell reduction !!

When I opened up the package there was carbon dust all over the inside of the packaging, as well as pouring out of the actual fan. It did work for about a week, however it was super loud, even on the lowest speed, and made funny almost moaning noises. Then it just died. The controller was still getting power, but the fan was no longer working.
