This is an excellent fan. I purchased it to be used as a window fan. Most window fans for the most part are wimpy in comparison to this monster. This will give you wind output from a calm breeze to near hurricane force. The volume level is not what is stated at 39 db. At a distance of 3 feet I measured the decibels at 75db on the highest setting of 10. That said, this was with no ducting attached attached. With ducting attached it dropped to 70db. I will likely be using the fan in the neighborhood of 4, which drops the sound level to about 57db. In my NYC apartment the ambient level clocks out a 54db just 3 db less. So in this respect the sound is very quiet from the fan. Another interesting factoid about this fan compared to others is that it has a plastic body as opposed to metal. Normally, I would say metal is better, however the quality of plastic is excellent and it is definitely quieter than the metal housing duct and ventilation fans that I have heard. I think because the plastic amplifies sound less than metal fan housings. It's also quite efficient, although if you run it on 10 you're going to be pushing about 150+ watts, again higher than specs, but it is quite forceful if you need this kind of output. I will likely never take it above 7 which is in the neighborhood of 75 watts. To keep the fan dry I created a plywood hood covered with plexiglass, angle brackets and silicone. It fits in my window with a hole cut out for the fan to fit through. I engineered the roof of the hood at 45% slope to keep water and snow from collecting, and I added screening from home depot for the intake below to keep insects out. In this respect I can use it all year, although it's doubtful I will in the heat of summer. I also love the fact that it has bluetooth operations from my phone, and they actually have real people in their customer service department that are quite helpful. Recommended for the best possible window fan, provided you are handy with creating a hood. Also, likely very good if you are a grower or want it to move air from one area of your home to another.

My house had 2 additions put on before I bought it- a large family room put on the front and an office and bathroom on the back. The owners/builders did the bare minimum to upgrade the HVAC and just added flex hose to the original HVAC plumbing and minimal vents. Living in the Midwest, this meant these rooms were cold in winter and hot in summer. I had a quote for $8000 to rebuild the HVAC manifold and upgrade the fan/blower motor. I decided to give these inline fans a shot instead. Couldn’t be happier! Using the temp probe into my current ductwork, the app allowed me to set them to automatically come on when the heat reaches a warm temp and pushes the air to the extended HVAC vents. The best part is I can even tune how hard the air blows at the vents. This has completely transformed these 2 add ons and at only a fraction of the price of having the entire HVAC system rebuilt. The 6†unit is so quiet if I didn’t tell you I have it up in my attic you’d never know. The 8†is slightly more audible but absolutely bearable. Again, fan speed can be controlled by either the control panel (which is awesome and touchscreen) or the phone app.)

This product is made of three sections - the fan in the center, and the duct adapters on the left and right - that are connected to each other with screw-tightened straps. All the wiring is in the center section, while the left and right sections are connected to the metal "base". This arrangement provides a few features not mentioned in the product description:- The center (with the box on the side) can be rotated to fit better in tight joist bays- The center can be removed to screw the base into a joist- The center can be replaced (if it ever fails) without having to take ducts downAdditionally, the box on the side simply contains a terminal block where the power and control wires are connected. It is easy to hardwire the fan by replacing the power cord with 14/2 romex in that box. And the control, despite using a USB-C cable, is really just a 4-wire connection with PWM control, so the controller is readily replaced with a homegrown solution if desired (though with WiFi it also has an accessible API, so there is little reason to replace it).The fan is incredibly powerful. It's hard to imagine a use case that needs this much airflow. I would only ever use it on the lowest speeds.Mine makes an audible clicking noise when spinning, but it gets drowned out by the *whoosh* at higher speeds. Installed in a wall, the clicking noise probably wouldn't be audible at all.

This is the third fan I've bought. They manufacture their own units. I mean this is a great fan. I have exhaust and intake fans and they track very well to the limits you set them on. Honestly, I wouldn't buy any other fan other than AC Infinity.

Do not cheap out on fans. Buy one of these. I've got a handful of cheap ebay fans in a pile in the garage and none come even remotely close to the cloudlines. You get what you pay for and these are an absolute testament to that. I've purchased 4 of the AC Infinity products now in varying sizes and every single product is a 10/10 including all the adapters/fittings they sell.

It is very quiet specially if put on speed 9 . The maximum is 10, which I don’t need to use it. I live the smart Wi-Fi control madule. It is very practical and worked perfect for my case. In general I am very happy with it. Regarding the longevity of the fan I can’t make any comment since I have it just for few weeks.

Overall it is a great bit of technology, the smart features are invaluable.It is definitely NOT silent though. Past the 4th setting it begins being very noticeably "there" the higher you go (5-6-7-8-9-10) the louder it gets, until it just sounds like a jet engine. Make sure you don't have things laying around while you're testing it as it literally acts like a vacuum cleaner, will suck in your kid and your cat. Only buy this if it wont ever be running past 5th setting if you want quiet. Will work for small 4x4-5x5 spaces excellently.Another complaint is that on the pictures it is advertised with the controller 69, whereas I received the controller 67. The pictures are missleading.

This is one of the most advanced fans I’ve ever had the pleasure of using, its energy efficiency is amazing. I use setting 1 most of the time. What else can I sayIf you read this just buy it you won’t regret it
