The tack and usability of this rosin is unbelievable, and of superior quality! Rich full sounds, even balanced tones, it completely changed how my bows respond for the absolute better. I have been using this sparingly in conjunction with my regular rosin because it’s that potent. No need to scratch this rosin, the bow does that in a few swipes..I cannot recommend this product highly enough and I hope it never goes away. This has changed the way I play cello, I have so much more control over my sound and resonance.. The notes actually sing better when played.. It’s unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and try it, you’ll never go back.Just leave some for me for the future!! I better order more before it’s gone..

Solid choice for rosin. It really gives one the ability to "pop" the bow from the string; great for sharp articulation. But also, subtle/smooth playing is equally as convenient/doable!

You call this rosin? At least for cello, it simply doesn’t grip the strings or provide good traction for the bow. I lose contact point/core. It’s not a dark rosin. Dark rosins work best for lower stringed instruments and this rosin is probably better for violin, honestly. I don’t understand how this can be called cello rosin. My dark rosin which isn’t even specifically for cello works better than this. Returned it and will never buy it again.

I have used this rosin for several years and love the bite it gives me for old time fiddle playing. I use it on my coda diamond GX bow. works great for my purposes.

Stickiest cello rosin there is, I think, when I need it nothing else does it, so 5-stars. The new cork case that Melos went to however, for me not so much.

This is my new favorite rosin and I really like that this version is in a cork case rather than just a cloth bag.

I use this for my fiddle bow. It rosins the bow quickly and you don't have to reapply often. It may be too gritty for some but works well for old time fiddling.
