Assumed when it said sturdy cast iron that they would actually be sturdy, but they were super light-weight and tipped right over when I put them with books :(

I have a glass floating shelf that I wanted to put books on but I couldn't stand them up without them falling over and any other kind of book end would take up too much space because it's not a very long shelf. I didn't actually know that book ends came like this and I really like the pattern. It's so perfect for my little shelf of Wiccan books!

I previously had a pair of bookends that weren't particularly decorative and I was looking for something that would hold my books up while also looking pretty. These peacock metal bookends are quite unique and have an art nouveau aesthetic. They're fairly strong and hold up my small collection of fiction books without issue. They also have little grips on the base to prevent them from sliding around. I like that they're metal and thin, so they won't collect much dust. Great find!

Ces appui-livres sont simples, mais chics. Je les utilise dans ma bibliothèque de salon et c'est à la fois efficace (rien ne tombe) et esthétique: ils conviennent très bien à un décor "milieu du siècle". La qualité du métal est très bien.
