Size is as expected, we read the size description. My husband uses them for his book collection and loves them (we bought two sets). Heavy for their size which is nice and the colors are so pretty (we bought purple to match the drapes). Especially nice for the price. Only thing I would suggest is adding felt to the bottom of them if using the bookends on top of furniture.

I agree with one viewer they are smaller than expect but still work. Weight is heavy which is good They are thick at least. Very dyed k the backside especially but color is nice.

The first thing I will say is look at the product's advertised image and look at what they sent me. I totally understand that with these type of things, it can always be variable as no 2 stones are the same. But what I received was a joke. I wanted it for the wow factor on my newly built bookshelf but this definitely wasn't it. Pieces of it were already crumbling off the product. I returned it because basically it was just ugly and didn't look like anything near the advertised image.

I ordered these as requested for someone else. I have owned these before and with items such as these you cant expect the grains to all look the same as the photo. I was pleasantly surprised that they were such a stunning grain I actually wanted to keep them for myself!

Bookends are not even clise to the same size. 1 is good- the other is just a very thin size- probably weighs 1.5-2 lbs. Came 3 days after date that it was supposed to be delivered. Stone is pretty but not what I expected...thought they would be a little more even in size
