The instructions are vague on steps 2 and 3. A little inset explaining which two tabs to bend and which direction would have been helpful. The rest of the instructions are easy to understand. The finished piece is nice. You will need a flat surface to mount the weather vane to. I'm happy I got this, it will look nice on top of the chicken house.

I like the price, and I think it looks great. It's sturdy enough, and looks how a weather vane is supposed to look. You can spend $260 if you like gaudy and ostentatious. To assemble, you have to bend two parts to a 90-degree angle, which makes me wonder why they didn't just build it that way.The instructions are ridiculous. You have to figure everything out yourself, intuitively. Their weak suit is 'explanation'.If I had to guess, I'd guess China. In particular, in English-speaking countries, we know the alphabet pretty well. But if you look carefully at all the pictures on the Amazon site, the W for West is always upside-down. Odd, bc the filigree underneath, is underneath, where it belongs. So I guess that means they did not put it together upside-down, which is just as easy to do as right-side up. Why that W is inverted is still a mystery, but it can go together how it's supposed to (though that nearly made me choose a different one). IOW, my W is right-side up, the filigrees are pointing down. The thing is, there is no wind direction in English-speaking countries that begins with an 'M'. Unless, 'Maybe that way'.

This is very beautiful once assembled. Assembly wasn't intuitive. At least not for me. I spent half an hour trying to put it together. I looked back at the order page and didn't find much helpful information.I finally asked my 14 year old to take a look at it. He has it together in just a few minutes. It seems there was a part you are supposed to bend in order to connect the two directional pieces to the pole. That wasn't clear to me in the instructions. But, once he got it together it looks amazing.

Photo shopped images in description make it appear larger than it is. Our shed is 14’ wide. Instructions could have been better, especially when bending the NSEW part around the pole and securing it in place. Product description says it’s a single point contact with a brass ferrule, mine is not.

I had been wanting a weather vane for decor more than anything on our gazebo and thought I'd give this one a try. From afar it looks good, but It's not the best quality. I didn't add the lighting rod since I felt it threw off the color combo. The N,W,S,E has a very pretty scroll design but the letters are off, they are backwards. There was no way we could correct them, so that was disappointing. I added two pictures so you can see them from different angles which this was the best we can do. I thought maybe Im too picky but once I looked at the photos on here, it's definitely manufactured incorrectly. It was easy to install, has a nice design but definitely needs work.

This weather vane adds a touch of old-world charm to any outdoor space. Its durable iron construction and smooth spinning action are impressive. The flexible roof bracket simplifies installation, but the assembly instructions could use some improvement as they are vague and confusing. While it's a beautiful decorative piece, its practical use as a weather indicator might be limited. Nevertheless, it's a lovely addition to a garden, porch, or barn.

The weathervane needs to be assembled. The instructions are easy to read-- but not so easy to follow. Once it is together-- it is very nice. But the directions are difficult. In one part you need to bend pieces..... and well-- that is NOT well written out. The other issue is that the directions N,E,W,S are made of very thin metal-- (this is the part you are bending at 90 degrees)-- and I was really afraid it was going to snap.It is really attractive. Great as a decoration--I am not certain how long it will last-- if kept outside all year round-- but we will see. It is adorable on our shed roof!
