Gets the job done. It is very plastic in appearance and feel, but it functions well. It seems to be rugged in spite of all the plastic, though it is slippery to hold. A reasonably good inexpensive option.

The sound is fine, I prefer a Metronome with an optional bell, this one does not have that. Make sure you come back here..to the product to read the instructions...you need to REMOVE the brake...the plug at the bottom. Or else you'll just be wondering why its not working.

This metronome is aesthetically pleasing and seemed to work well at first but after less than two months the tick did not maintain an even cadence. Unfortunately I am no longer able to return the product for a refund.

There are free, accurate metronomes with volume controls for smartphones, which I usually use, but I bought this as I want to minimise time spent with screens/phones.The product information could be clearer that it is not wood, I assumed it would be plastic, but couldn't find anything explicitly saying it isn't and it seemed more pricey than othe plastic models, so still a little disappointed.It does the job well from the little time I've spent using it, but is loud and no way to control the volume. If you're trying to practise quietly in a flat or house, you are likely to annoy your neighbours!
