I wasn’t aware that my microwave had a filter in it, until I went to clean the air grill and had to remove it. There it was, a filter. A very dirty filter. I would imagine the previous owner of the home didn’t know it either. In any case, I purchased this brand and package of two. GE quit making the replacement filter for our 20 year old Over-the-Range space saver microwave several years ago. Finally we found a great after-market replacement! This IS it!

Accidentally found about the existence of this filter in the upper section of our above stove mounted microwave during a rigorous clean. Poorly documented by GE (thanks...) so took a little to confirm right model. Ordered these, came in quickly and fit perfectly. So we moved from not knowing about this filter in upper portion of unit to now having two for an excellent price. Very happy.
