I used these on a climbing trip so I could communicate with my partner when we were far away and it’s noisy. They work just fine for that.My partner dropped his and it went bouncing down the rock face for 80 feet or so. I went down to retrieve it and surprisingly it still worked just fine. When I got home I could barely tell which one had been dropped. Amazing!Battery life seems good enough. We had them on for maybe 6 hours and still had full charge bars. Used Amazon brand rechargeables.The one critical thing I’ll say is the voice activated (vox) mode is overly sensitive and tends to miss the first few words, so we just turned it off and used button presses. That works great. Also one timeine randomly started chirping the call signal. Maybe my partner pressed the call button by accident, I don’t know.Overall they’re great for the price, absolutely would recommend them!

We used them on our move across country and they were very clear. Worked well even at 5 car lengths away while driving on the highway. I just found the batteries drained quickly and had to replace them once a day- sometimes more often. I wouldn’t buy again, but gave four stars for clarity when we used them.

This is the only walkie-talkie we’ve liked in 20 years! We have 2 sets and they interchange with each other. The main reason I will use no other is this fits comfortably in my hand, not bulky, easy to use. We keep a set in each car and use for backing our boat to launch, parking our motor home at RV parks. Love these! I like the battery because it’s always usable, no charging, just take extra batteries if we’re going on a long haul. Highly recommended!

We bought two sets of these walkies talkies. One is working well and the batteries hold up after several uses. However the other set doesn't hold up the batteries and they die after about 3 hrs of use. Therefore, one gets a 5 star and the other gets a 1 star.

Midland - T10 X-TALKER. These are excellent quality and great value for the price (About $30 bucks for a pair). I use them to keep in touch with my young children around the neighborhood. These have high quality sound (for transmit and receive), reasonable price, nice small size and have the basic features I wanted; like the standard 22 channels (including 38 privacy codes; I don't need more codes than that), call button, roger beep, scanning and weather channels. We live in an urban area city (buildings/homes/etc) and we get at least 1/4 mile range which, I would say is expected (I believe these are half a watt of output power) for the area we use them in. We use rechargeable NiMH batteries and battery life is also expected, basically if you are using them all day long, then at the end of the day, remove the batteries and recharge them. I have not tested how long it takes to fully drain battery, so I don't know maybe it will last longer.
