I used my last water valve spring on one of my trumpets. I procured them from a repair friend. I thought I'd avoid that path and looked to see what was available on Amazon. I looked at nearly all options! These seemed most like what I had, but none had long ends like mine. (Easier to install and then trim the ends.)These seem to be quite strong. I won't know until another one breaks, so, only 4 stars.

These springs are slightly large for trumpet or cornet, but otherwise OK if you aren't fussy about how they look on your horn. They seem to be better for larger waterkeys on baritones, tubas, etc. The amount of "spring" in them is fine. No problem with that. Some vintage instruments need really small, strong waterkey springs, so these will not do in those instances.
